This sir is not an 'attempt' it's a Rocket Launch to the moon. This song is excellent at every level. You've nailed the genre, lyrical subject matter, your vocal is spot on for the song and they harmonies are totally 'harmonious'. You've done a great write, arrangement, production and performance. This is top notch and I truly hope to hear something from you again soon. I enjoyed this a lot. Thanks for posting.

Rob, excellent! It does sound like a tune from 1950s that have been remastered really well In my opinion some of the best pop music was born in 1950s. It is a shame so few try to comeback to that goodness. You sure got a feel for it, don't let it go Thank you very much for sharing! Misha.

Yesh, you have captured very authentic 50's mood, musically and lyrically. Your voice is just perfect for the song. And those backing vocals make me smile Janne

One of my favorite compilation CDs is one full of Doo [*****] ballads. Your song fits along side those on the album. Brilliant production and vocals. I enjoyed this very much.

Dear Rob,
I immediately had the same idea as Charlie had: This is not an attempt !!!
Instead, it sounds more like a blueprint for so many songs that we all loved (and at least as far as I'm concearned) still love. You're a great songwriter and you have a incredibly good sense of how your songs have to be arranged..
Again, a flawless production, beautifully sung and played - even if they paid me for criticizing: I wouldn't find anything that's not perfect.
Cheers,
Stefan

Sounds great Robert. As I am saying to all, sorry I can't be more loquacious. I am listening to everything but these next six months are mad crazy with my work, so I will just have to listen and say I love it. Please bear with me during this time. Great will mean great. I am listening.

One of the best recreation of that sound and era I've ever heard. fj

Back for some more listening....and to add to our playlist. We've been on the forum for eight years and this might be the first song of this genre to be posted...at least that we can recall. By the way, I have no idea why my previous post had a censored word in it...well upon further consideration I guess it was the same as derogatory slang for Italians? Assuredly not intentional!

Yes, what they said. This is so good in every possible way. I could hear The Platters, Shep And The Limelights and The Five Satins ... couldn't decide which. And, as someone else mentioned ... a Frankie Lymon vibe, too. In my neighborhood, that's pretty dang good company. There are so many good things to say about this that it would take an entire page to address them ... maybe more. Excellent in every possible way, Rob. That was such a musical treat. Thanks for the smile on my face. If you were performing anywhere close to me, I'd pay to hear. Wishing you the very best ... Alan
