Saturday morning about a week ago, I went for a walk at the beach close to my home. We had unusual high temperatures for a February month in Denmark. It was a foggy weather, but visually beautiful to see how the sun was fighting to shine through the mist and light up the day and the surrounding landscapes. I spent way too long time that morning at the beach (and was not properly dressed for the weather) and as a result went down with a cold and high fever for a few days. On the other hand the experience inspired me to produce this track: The Morning Mist RealTracks used: Bass: RT1162 Drums: BodhranCelticReel Soprano Sax: RT2419 Cello: RT3261 Guitar: RT1164 I hope you will enjoy the track! Will

Will, Cool track with shamanic element. Very clear mix. Reminded me of music of Norwegian singer Mari Boine. P.S. I recorded couple of my best songs when had crazy flu...just saying, not suggesting you have to aim for it Thank you! Misha.

Interesting juxtaposition of instruments. The sap. sax reminded me of Roxy Music.

Wow - this is a really intriguing and interesting piece of music It has a really mysterious, eerie quality to it that I liked. Oddly beautiful, and a really good example of Band-in-a-Box's diversity as well. Really well done - thanks for sharing!

Interesting Celtic feel, the sax brings some mystic mist into the song. Nice to hear that new cello RT in use.

You are putting together some very interesting tracks. Unique. Enjoyable.
You could easily do rap lyrics over this...
Good mix. A good listen.

I get confused about all these different usernames. Yes, it works to jam with the guitar to the track, but I am disappointed with myself over the track and I will delete it when FAWM is finished, because it didn't turn out the way I wanted. Techno is actually a very hard genre to make a good track in, it often sounds simple but it is quite demanding to make a good dance-able track. Anyway... thanks for listening and commenting! Will

That is a very creative mashup of RT genres that resulted in a nice song.
And the mix sounds really good on our monitors.

Hi Will,
I'm a bit late to the party: Maha was in hospital for almost 5 weeks, so the forum had to stand back for a while.
But now here I am, listening to that great song of yours.
I think I said it before: I'm always stunned by the versatility of your musical work. And I'm also very much impressed by the way you transform feelings into songs. They're never sing-alongs, but always full of great ideas and well-constructed.
This one, too, is another great evidence of your talent.
Very, very nice.
Take good care,
Stefan

Stefan Hi Stefan, Thank you for listening, Stefan! So sorry to hear that Maha was in hospital. I hope she is feeling better now! Of course you should not spend time on the forum, when one of your loved ones has a problem - no one would expect you to be here in such a situation... All my best wishes to Maha (and you too)! Will

Will Hello Will, you mentioned the beautiful weather not so long ago. We had the most beautiful and warmest February ever here, and though it may be nice to enjoy such days, I have to admit this sort of records scares the hell out of me. I hope you have fully recovered by now. Maha says 'thanks for your kind wishes'. I'm working my way through all those new songs and I think I saw that you've posted another one, but since I don't want to miss any song I stolidly stick to the order of their posting dates. But even if it may take another day until I reach your next song: I'm really looking forward to it! All the best, Stefan

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
