Twixt Midnight And MornA slow, expressive acoustic piano piece you might hear played live at a supper club, lounge, etc. This is one I put together a year or so ago. It was for a Songtradr submission ... didn't get picked up. It's a simple piece played by a trio consisting of acoustic bass, drums with brushes and acoustic piano. Open to any suggestions/comments. Thanks in advance. The band, and all that stuff: File:_Twixt Midnight And Morn.SGU Key=Bb , Tempo 60, Length (m:s)=3:36 Style is _SLOWBAL.STY (Slow Jazz Ballad w/ Piano & Bass) RealTracks in style: ~732:Bass, Acoustic, Jazz Ballad Sw 060 RealTracks in style: ~742:Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm Jazz Ballad Sw 060 RealDrums in Song: JazzTerryClarke^02-a,b:Brushes

I truly appreciate those very kind and warming words. Don't know what part of Texas you live in, but I lived in San Antonio for 6 years back in the 70s. Other than Houston, probably the most humid place in the country I've been to! Again, many thanks ... Alan

I think I said twitx one time up here in the north and
everyone froze thinking I was having some kind of attack.
This sounds like a nice place, are we having surf and turf later
after the cocktails of course.
Seriously, I like this a lot, it's mixed really well
and you do introduce us to areas and sounds that I never explore on BiaB
Thanks Alan

Al, I enjoyed the laid back feel- the piano never gets busy. Your progression is so smooth and the mix sounds good. Less use of the great depth of jazz Biab styles seems to be made of in forum songs-nice to be reminded like this.

Yep...sounds like the live music at one of our favorite "splurge" restaurants. Lovely progression that's taken to a very satisfying end.

Very nice work - expressive, peaceful and tranquil. It has such a nice texture to it. Smooth as silk, and really smoky. The kind of tune you can snap your fingers to no problem. I imagine it'd sound great live.
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers, Deryk

Thanks Alan Ha! Actually, the only time I'd ever heard "twixt" used was in the title of a book Pat Boone (yeah, that Pat Boone) wrote back in the late 1950s titled "Twixt Twelve And Twenty" As I put this together, for some reason that old memory visited me and I stole that word from the book title. Glad you enjoyed it! Join me at the bar ... drinks on me! Alan
