Hit Me With Your Best ShotNope ... Pat Benatar hasn't sung this one ... well, not yet anyway. It's a song to which I wrote the lyric in 2005 but never put music to it. It has noise now. As most of you know, I played lead guitar in several country bands for about 50 years. But ... I do not have a voice for country music. That probably applies to a lot of other genres, too. But this is my best effort at a country song that might have been contemporary in the 1980s and 1990s. Sorry I've not been around to listen very much but Di is having more serious health issues. Will visit and listen as I can. Open to constructive suggestions ... other than "Get another singer!" I already know that!!! Also, is the vocal too hot? For a guy that doesn't "have a voice for country music", you do pretty darn good job...
Sounded like a genuine "Jerry Max Lane" beer-joint country voice to me...

Won't lie, the title of this song instantly had the Pat Benatar tune come into my head - but I thoroughly enjoyed this! Really catchy, and some great progressions. I thought your vocals suited the backing tracks perfectly, also. Very, very clever lyricism as well (I see what you did there). Overall a really solid tune - thanks for sharing
