This reminds me of "The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face", the Johnny Cash version. Beautiful, haunting, dark and simply wonderful. In its own way, a classic - I've bookmarked it to play it more times. Amazing job - I cannot underscore enough just what an achievement this song is - hats off to you.

Nicely done! A very uplifting tune for sure. Love the progressions and thought your vocals fit perfectly with the lush instrumental. Definitely getting a 90's vibe from this one. Very summery and nice and easy on the ears. Great work and thanks for sharing

Enjoying the morning joe at the moment, and man what a treat to go with it.

That lyric is tremendous...just the perfect amount of meat on the bone to let the listener add the rest. Who couldn't relate to the message?
This is what Americana is all about and fitting to be on any playlist of that genre. And a fine addition to our personal playlist I might add.
