hallo liebe User,

Biab kann genau notieren was gespiellt werd (midi input z.b.).

https://www.jazzstylezz.com/shop (Select odd meter)

Hello Dzjang.
I have now heard for the first time about your styles, which I have looked at right away on your website. Very good work, I will surely buy one or the other style and try it out.
Is it possible to buy all styles as a bundle for a special price?
Especially the bass lines are sounding very inspiring - what do you think about developing Soloists-Styles für Double Bass?

Cool, thx.

Yes, there are no bass soloists, which is really too bad.
I especially dig Christian McBride, Rueben Rogers, Dave Holland and -not cool, maybe, but still- Gary Peacock.

For the moment habe ich keine ahnung how those soloists are put together.

I will look into it.

I’m working towards bundles of 10 styles. But it will take me some time (weeks, maybe). I thought:

Ecm bundle
Bread and Butter Bundle (modern versions of styles ranging from ballad to fast bop and some latin and 3/4)
Odd meters bundle (5/4 to 13/8)
Ballad bundle
Modern Bossa bundle
Medium tempo bundle (mix of modern even and swing styles)
Modal bundle
Fast bop bundle

Hope to get it ready and running by end of october

Thx a lot

Hallo Dzjang,
In welcher Sprache schreibt man dich denn am besten an, du bist ja hier in deutschen Forum? Where are you located, just to choose the right language, is it Belgium?
And yes, Reuben Rogers is a fantastic soloist, also Brian Bromberg.

Thank you for your info, I like your 5/4 style, but my problem is:
I want to write notes in 5/4-time in the score editor. BIAB makes a 3/4 and 2/4 time signature every beat alternating. The musical notation becomes illegible.
Maybe you can write to the developer, so that this problem is finally resolved.
Thx a lot

Hallo Fred,

Hey Brille and Fred,

Quote:
I understand and read German, but I can not write it. It’s been more than thirty years since I left high school and had German for 2 years, 2 hours per week. I managed to forget all about the writing, but can still enjoy reading and listening to German language,
I used to dig a live jazz program where a funny bearded bass player addressed us with: Guten Abend Liebe Jazz-Freunde, smile

The problem with odd meters and Biab not being able to write them is not the only problem with Biab.

Biab is tone-deaf! Read my post https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=77508&Number=546844#Post546844

Sad, isn’t it?

Hallo Dzjang.

Fixed: Accidental element that specified whether a note was displayed as sharp/flat wasn't eing saved to XML, even though the correct pitch of the note itself was saved.

Notation Enhancements in Band-in-a-Box® 2019 64-bit for macOS Catalina

With Band-in-a-Box® 2019 64-bit for Mac we added Drum Notation Support, and we didn't stop there! Other Notation Enhancements added in this new version are:

-A new track type (Drums) is available for the Melody and Soloist tracks.
-Clicking close to a stave line will put a note on the stave line instead of between stave lines. Previously, you had to click extremely close to a stave line to insert a note on it.
-Holding down the control key and pressing the zoom in/out buttons results in finest possible incremental adjustment in size.
-In the Notation Window Options dialog, the clefs split point asterisk indicates that C5* is middle C.
-Notation is much clearer, not jagged, on retina screens.
-The clefs split point can be set by the spin controls.
-The right-click menu in the Editable or Staff Roll mode Notation window has an option to change the current beat resolution. Previously, the only way to do this was to right-click on the time line.
-There is a keystroke entry mode, which lets you enter a melody entirely using keystrokes. The keystrokes are N to enter a note, M to enter a third note, up/down cursor to change the pitch of the highlighted note, and left/right cursor to move the time line.
-You can quickly enter forced accidentals from the right-click menu.
