The skin includes the PSD templates you can open with GIMP The PANELS folder in the color behind the icons you can change them to whatever color you like also set the Black layer in the PSD to that same color.
Copy the Skins folder "Large Color on Black" to bb\Data\CustomSkins Copy the Large Color on Black.csc to bb\Data\Schemes
(In older BB Rename C:\bb\Data\Images\MainScreenButtons\ > MainScreenButtons - Gray Extract the folder Large Color on Black and Rename > MainScreenButtons)
Start BB right click the chord sheet > Display Options (or Options > Preferences > Display)
Choose Skin > Large Color on Black Load Scheme > Large Color on Black
If you don't choose the Large Color on Black Scheme and want to keep the white chord sheet in Display Options up the top left choose Mixer Font and set it to a color other than black.
EDIT: the Mixer Font isn't saving in the Scheme at the moment so you will need to change in manually.
See how you go with it if you have any suggestion for color icon/schemes let me know. I will update the psd templates to make it easier to add your own icons and colors. In the pic below I changed the PANELS bmp's to a light color and then added the same color for the background of the icon. The File ones are done I just need to do the others below. So using GIMP anyone should be able to create their own skin. I couldn't get the background transparency for the icons to work like the bmp pink as the png icons are transparent around the edges and the pink bleeds through thus showing pink around the edges.
I see no reason why this would not work on version 2022, since to my knowledge, nothing in this area of the program has recently changed. However, be aware that you should make backups of any file you change and any file you create, since updates may overwrite your changes.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
