They will make one, it's just that they have been flat out, it was the same with the Win version they made some videos after the release. You can check out the Win Cubase one: Also to get the Chords into Cubase : Biab, RealBand, BB Plugin Chords & Tracks into Cubase Reaper Studio One Win/Mac , just save the SGU in the plugin then open with Biab, this could be added to the plugin down the track.

Ah that's very helpful - thanks Pipeline.
Didn't know BIAB could export just the raw chords for each change. Almost there. As you suggest - if there's a way in the future whereby a BIAB song held I plugin save-state data could automatically just update the chord track it would be awesome ( but need access to the Cubase API )
Otherwise as I think you meant - in the future if one can do all this just form the plugin instead of having to switch to full BIAB that would be awesome.
Ultimately it would make so so much sense if there was a seamless connection between BIAB and Cubase - one where any change in a BIAB progression or style didnt require many extra steps involving dragging and dropping.
On a final note - if one is just regenerating a song in the plugin - and then hits the PLAY button in the plugin - where does the sound get output to? over the stereo input on the track in Cubase hosting the plugin - or out via the main Mac speaker/phone outputs>
And when just needing to audition or try out a regenerated stereo BIAB arrangement - can one press play in Cubase and have the BIAB plugin put out the master stereo audio feed straight into the plugin output and in sync time wise with whatever is in cubase already?
It would seem a great pain to not be able to try out different styles or progression tweaks - against EXISTING MIDI and audio in other Cubase tracks - if each time ANY change is made to the BIAB plugin one constantly needs to re-drag stuff onto Cubase tracks?
Is there a plan down the road to - instead, as an option - just be able to output all the separate audio from BIAB in real-time onto separate Cubase audio tracks?
in other words have the plugin work as other multi-channel-audio-output plugins like KONTAKT or HALION or EZ Drummer would....

I got it to work with Reaper and Studio One using scripts but as yet haven't found a way with Cubase.

It should come through the track the plugin is on, originally it was played through the system audio on the Win version. The midi will also send to a different virtual instrument on a different channel. You can also have more tracks with more Biab Plugins on with the same SGU loaded to give you a lot more tracks to choose from.

At the moment you need to Cmd click the Master or each track name to be played back with the Play button, to play back selected tracks in sync to the tracks already in Cubase you need to double click the Drag button to enable sync to host but if you see the pic below and the link it will be made easier.

You don't have to re-drag as it will sync, as mentioned it didn'y sync originally in the Win beta release.

You can do that now just have a Plugin on each of those tracks. Say on one track I have Amplitube or Guitar Rig after the Biab Plugin, in the Biab Plugin I load the SGU, select MultiRiff of a Direct Input Guitar, now I just select one track to sync with the host, play Cubase and see how that track fits, if not I try the next MultiRiff.

For midi Yes you can send each channel from the Biab Plugin to any other track with a different Virtual Instrument or as above you can have another Biab Plugin on that Virtual Instrument track and when MidiMultiRiffs are added choose the one that fits best.

thanks for all that.
I did try the MIDI routing aspect but when running along with other audio tracks - all playing in sync ( not dragged ) I get crackles. This is on the latest 2018 i7 Mac mini 3+GHZ. running at 128 buffer size. There is nothing else in the Cubase project other than a Lounge Lizard plugin track.
this doesn't happen when the MIDI in-sync isn't turned on and only audio is being streamed to the host.
Also I notice some buzzes at the beginning of the project.

Another thing I've noticed - not exactly a bug but needs to be addressed is the Style-Chooser dialog.
when opened it can often get hidden behind other windows as it isn't modal and there doesn't seem to be any menu item under "Windows" etc or even available via the Cubase icon in order to bring the dialog to the front.
It also seems visually (GUI design wise ) to be borrowed straight from BIAB itself ( which is certainly just a case of code-reuse across the apps ) - whereas the plugin has a different look.
But regardless there needs to be a way of not losing that style picker dialog. I presume this also applies to other dialogs too.

That is the Biab Style Picker, the Biab Plugin uses the Biab app running silently in the background to generate up the tracks to a local folder.
Ah that would explain it. Makes sense from a developer standpoint - but in that case there needs to be some kind of "bring BIAB window to front" type button or popup menu option present because its not very user friendly to have to fiddle around with Mac windows or the application switcher etc simply to bring to front a disappearing dialog.
( PS they should employ you as a support person as you clearly have experience with this side of things now and you're often helpfully present on this forum :))

Yea that's cool, I already posted that also in the other forum. The win version had the same issue it was not set to "Always On Top" but then was fixed.
on the same topic - whenever those yellow warnings turn up in the bottom right area. this prompts the Cubase DAW plugin window to close or hide which is annoying. I suspect this is simply a function of the DAW doing this automatically simply because app focus got switched to a different app (namely the hidden BIAB "server" app.
So in the long run the developers need to just put this notification mechanism into the plugin itself somehow.

I tried having three instances of the plugin. I loaded the same song into all three and then in each one deleted all the instruments other than one. So all I had left in the first one was drums, all remaining in second was the bass and just the keyboards in the third.
With the little icon in each plugin BLUE - and regenerating. I've had issues. crackles for starters. and also situations in which even though all tracks should be playing and DO play when I simply press the big PLAY button in the plugin to audition what's there - all plugins appeared to hold generated audio. However I could only get synchronised audio out of one or two -and it seemed intermittent as to what would actually get piped into the DAW host tracks.
anyway - having experimented with multiple instances ill just go back to a single instance. The whole multi-instance thing is probably something to be postponed. once multichannel outputs is added I cant personally think of a good reason to support it.

Thank you, good to know it's not just me ! I have mentioned that several times, it's very annoying and I wish there was a preference to turn off the yellow sticky notes in the plugin.
Then again, it's still a first release, and I'm sure there are bigger bugs to fix first, it is extremely annoying though.

Yes an option to turn them OFF would help to keep the focus in Cubase. Though I don't know why Cubase does that if you have the plugin window set to Always on top.
Yeah, I think Cubase is partly to blame here. I mean, aways on Top doesn't really mean "Always".
Even if you switch to any another running app (Finder for instance), you will see that the "always on top" window still disappears.
Seems to be exactly what happens when the BBM4.app throws up a yellow note, it tries to come to the foreground, sending Cubase to the background. It would either be nice to be able to either suppress the messages, or have BBM4.app not try to take the focus when it generates a message.
It's funny how the AU in Logic/ GarageBand don't seem to be affected by this at all.
