The singer and soloist are very busy at present and unable to provide video for a while so I've cobbled together something based on their participation in previous vids. The Video
James Dodd did the solo, Anthony Andulonis the vocals & melody, Misha & Katya are the telephone spies and Eric Drabwell did some excellent guitar noodling for the outro.
BIAB provided the drums, organ & treated piano.

Nice job on the video, Ray! And a great song too of course, good to hear it again.

The bit at the end of the video is my favorite. Misha is older than I thought! eek

Enjoyed!

Thanks Dave. Yes, Misha looks to have aged a tad. I did think about getting him to take some snaps for the vid but thought a) he's a very busy chap and b) getting hold of a radial dial telephone, (other than a kid's toy - do they still make them?), would be difficult.

Scott, it's likely not Pa Kettle - I think it was from a bit before their series of fabulous films. It's actually a snippet from a public service film about how to dial a telephone number rather than asking the exchange to make a connection.

Hello Ray ...

Well, that was a little different! I haven't heard anything even vaguely similar to this in the 2 years or so that I've been here. Interesting with great video to match the music. I enjoyed the song quite a bit ... it's not a genre I would normally listen to, but I'm glad I caught this one. It kept me engaged throughout.

One little thought, for what it's worth ... I think the bass line could be a little more forward. But, perhaps that just me and my ignorance to the genre. Anyway, that's what crossed my mind.

Good song and lots of talented work to bring it all together with the video. Wishing you the best ...

Alan

Wow, we liked the song from the get go but this vid, man, does it ever build and build and build.

We are big fans of B&W and your remarkable choice of clips and editing just nailed the entire vibe.

Spellbound.

Ray,
This is one of my favorite tunes of yours. Video is a cool compliment. I believe you made the right choice for the video to be B&W as it does not distract from music and lyrics with colors, but highlights attention when needed. Some interesting imagery you got going in it. I wonder if they have sort of filter that could match - equalize contrast of all clips?
Thank you for sharing!

Misha.

Misha - I tried for that but in the freebie editor I was using there was nothing. I THINK I could achieve that result by running the clips through a filter in the old Windows Movie Maker - well, use the contrast adjustment id nothing else.
I may do that.
Thanks for your kind words.

I know, it should be all about the music, but in this case the video does add a great dimension to the experience. Really liked what you put together. I'm guessing it takes quite a few hours of work to put a video like that together.

Hi Ray,

sorry for beeing a bit late to the party...

Wow, a great song and (in my mind) an even greater video. I think I can judge the amount of time and thoughts you must have put into it.

What a ride.... Some really great effects which made me think 'How the heck did he do that?'

Awesome job, really outstanding on all levels.

Think I will have to watch some old Doris Day movie to get my head calm again smile

Cheers,

Stefan

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
