Non so quanti di voi avranno già aggiornato la loro versione di Band-in-a-Box per Windows.
Io l'ho fatto probabilmente troppo presto, ma ormai sono in ballo.
Utilizzo ancora Windows XP Professional aggiornato con SP3, so che molti si scandalizzeranno, ma utilizzo vecchi programmi che funzionano perfettamente su questo S.O. e mi va benissimo così!
Tempo addietro però ho predisposto il PC ad un Dual Boot, installando su una seconda partizione Windows Seven per vari motivi tra i quali maggior sicurezza durante la navigazione in Internet.
La versione di BiaB 2020 si è installata solo sulla partizione con Windows Seven, ho fatto vari tentativi con installazioni diversificate (ad esempio con o senza Plugins, con o senza DAW, su unica partizione con XP, ecc.), il risultato non cambia: BiaB 2020 con XP non si apre, ricevo solo una serie di errori (già segnalati a PG Music).
Attualmente sto utilizzando BiaB 2020 nella partizione con Windows 7 e BiaB 2019 nella partizione con XP, facendo condividere alle due versioni le medesime cartelle di RealTracks e RealDrums (installate tutte con la 2020) e funziona tutto egregiamente!
Se avete altre esperienze . . .

Prima di tutto approfitto per augurare a tutti Buone feste, una bella smanciata di ore serene per il giorno di Natale e altrettanto per ogni giorno del nuovo anno in arrivo!
In merito al problema precedentemente segnalato: nonostante i consigli del supporto tecnico di PG Music, non sono riuscito a risolvere l'incompatibilità della versione 2020 con Windows XP.
A sorpresa però (perché non ci speravo più) il giorno 19 hanno rilasciato la Patch 708 contenente tra altre la correzione per questo problema, quindi adesso BiaB 2020 si installa perfettamente funzionante anche sul mio vecchio computer!
Sono convinto che altri come me utilizzino ancora questo Sistema operativo, spero quindi che l'esito di questa piccola esperienza faccia loro piacere.
