Bonjour, When there are 2 bars with the same chord, i do not like to see that chord mentioned and repeated in the following bar. This is to simplify and lighten the notation sheet .... Till now it was working like that .... Unless an unexpected change in a setting somewhere, it seems that in BIAB2020, it is no more the case .... Some advice ? Merci Daniel
My understanding is that the second Fm is only there because you actually put it there. It does not need to be. If you don't enter a new chord in bar 5 it will continue playing over the chord in the prior bar. Does that answer your question? Or has something changed in 2020?
To my knowledge, nothing about this changed in version 2020. You may have found a bug.
Not only is this important because you prefer it visually, it’s very important musically. BIAB uses prerecorded phrases in RealTracks that can be one, two, four, eight bars long. If you allow the program to ‘sit on’ the same chord more than one measure, you are going to get ‘better’ musicality from the program when it can use those longer phrases.
In case it matters, are you using a non-English language version of BIAB?

Dan, don't stop giving advice. We needed to know the exact steps Daniel took, and your comment elicited that.
Still, I cannot duplicate this. Mine is working fine.
So, Daniel, can you write down the exact steps you are taking? I entered the chords including Fm in bar 3, clicked on Regenerate/Play, and no additional Fm appeared in bar 4. Did you do anything else / anything different?
Have you tried the standard first step of troubleshooting BIAB, when something is odd that you know was working before? Options, Return to Factory Settings.
Try that and report back.

Bonjour, Thank you for your feed back ... Finally, i reverted by to "reset to factory settings" and then everything is now fine under the sun ... I suspect some mismatch in some settings somewhere (i did not find which one) and consequently, the reason of my problem was not due to BIAB2020. Thank you again for your advices and help. Daniel
FYI there is also the option with Band-in-a-Box 2020 to quickly "test" factory settings but not lose your settings, by placing a file called "safemode.txt" in the bb\Preferences folder.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
