This is a bluesy shuffle that I did as part of a video project. There are three guitar tracks, bass and drums. All the guitars are an ES-335, each played in real time without edits through a Fender amp and a Wampler Euphoria overdrive. The guitar on the left side gets a rotary speaker treatment added in Studio One.

Style is _BLSHUFF.STY
RealTracks in style:
420:Bass, Electric, Blues Sw 120
RealDrums in Style:
BluesShuffleHard^1-a:Snare, HiHat , b:Ride

Love that slight fuzz on the guitar on top of that sweetness - super combination, and very precise playing, with a lot of interesting interplay with the rhythms. A really fun rollicking great track.

I've got a soft spot for them blues! Always welcome!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Ray,

I love the blues too and there's some nice playing here. However, and maybe it's just me or maybe it's intentional, but in places it sounds like the guitar is in a different key to the backing track and sounds really off. And some of the bends sound like they fall short?
Or maybe my ears are going the same way as my hands! smile smile

Really nicely done - I'm a sucker for good blues tune. The groove is fantastic and I thought your playing flows perfectly over the backing tracks.

Thanks for sharing smile

Cheers,
Deryk

Hi Eric,

This creation of yours grabs hold and doesn't let go! I love it! You sound like you're have a real ball playing lead guitar. It's so very easy to imagine you standing up on stage with your band around your and everyone is totally involved in entertaining.

Once again, you take us on a terrific ride.

All the best,
Noel

Is the "rotary" effect that slight tearing/scraping sound on the left?
If yes, I don't think it successfully replicates the Univibe or Lesley sound - sounds more like an aggressive phaser.
The playing is very cool, the licks are ace and the overall piece if tidy & good.

Cheers

Well, well, well, Ray, if that ain't one of the nicest blues guitar jobs I've heard in a long time... love the tone, love WHAT you're playing, love HOW you're playing.

Excellent!

Cheers,

Stefan

Great playing, my kind of stuff, reminded me of a more modest version of The Humbler, Danny Gatton. Great work!
