The blues are designed to make things better...this fits the bill perfectly. Turned a series of calamities into fodder for a fun song (that off kilter descending guitar line is priceless). This is dirty. This is low-down. This is blues. Great listen. I'm glad they are not your life experiences, necessarily.

Jim,
A country flavored Rock'n'Roll Blues! The shuffle beat feels good. The intro that goes down in semitones (G F # F E, D C # C B) are very interesting. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

I can relate to this song! I had rust buckets with bad tires, high doctor bills, and had a few females take a hike. So how long have you been spying on me Seriously, this is a super song. Great vocal, perfect backing tracks, excellent mix and great lyrics. An excellent song. Thanks Mario... For you support & comments! I haven't been spying on you... So we must have been going down the same old dusty trails You're really cranking them out lately, Jim! I like hearing you using your resonant baritone voice. Clever lyrics, Thanks Scott... For your continued support & comments! Now I know what kind of voice I have Cool! Love your vocals. Nice job. Thanks Cap'n... For your comments & support! Hi Jim, Very nicely relaxed blues and mellow mellow voice. Much enjoyed. Cheers. Thanks Richard... For you wonderful support & comments!

Fun song, Jim, love your vocal! How did you do that descending riff, did you play that? Thanks Dave... For your continued support... Since I've already told you about the descending riff, I'll just say your presence & music on this forum Helps make it the wonderful place it is! Good one, Jim. Love the vocal. Enjoyed the listen... fj Thanks Floyd... You continued comments & support are really appreciated! You're sure it weren't your experiences, Jim? If not, you sang this song as if they were. Very nice song, bit dirty, but catchy blues. Gave a smile on my face and made me think again of those high reindeers you sang about around Christmas... I only heard some cracks in the song. Is this because of the problems with the internetconnection you have, or am I mistaken about that? Hans Thanks Hans... For your funny comments & your continued support! I once had a worn out VW (Beetle) that required a lot of bailing wire... When something fell off I would throw it in the back seat... And head off to the hardware store for more wire Short and sweet. That intro licks goes a lot lower than I expected! Thanks David... For you continued support & comments! Yeah that descending riff forced me To choose a key to accommodate the riff instead of my vocal

Caused me to smile, too, Jim...right away. The ability to take heart break, heart aches, and bad breaks, turn them around and come up with something, dare I say, humorous, is a gift.

Jim, That`s a cool descending riff. Your lower vocal tones sound great...I like how you rhymed "car and "tahr"! A good fun song. Robert Thanks Robert... You continued comments & support are greatly appreciated! Some good old country shuffle going on here, Jim! Sounding terrific, as you always do. best to you ... Alan Thanks Alan... You really make this forum to be a wonderful community for sharing songs! Dear 'Jim'... Your Dirty Low Down Blues pleasantly evokes memories of friendly roadside diner jukeboxes, transistor radios, and after-midnight radio shows. The humorous lyrics are simple, yet clever, all at the same time. You sing them in an easy, relaxed and familiar way that could invite listeners to shout out their agreeableness with the truth they hear in them, 'cuz life's like that sometimes, now, ain't it??? Guess I'll put another quarter in... LOREN Thanks Loren... For you wonderful comments... I can always count on you for your lofty praise! I remember well those "jukeboxes, transistor radios, and after-midnight radio shows" Along with sawdust on the dance floor & shuffleboards... However I don't think a quarter will cover it any more You know we love the blues. And we love a shuffle the most. So this certainly works for us! Cool lyric vid and sung as blueage mentioned, "in a relaxed and familiar way." That. Fun! J&B Thanks guys... I know I can always count on your wonderful support... I also know both of you love the blues... In fact I checked to see when one of my favorite songs, "Blues in the Night" would become PD... I think Janice would do a super job on it... Unfortunately I will have to wait awhile (1941)

Jim, Clever tune. You certainly got a special talent for sad story telling without making me cry. The only thing I would change is drums. I know that you like them particular way. There are whole bunch of free VST drums or even SF2 fonts for drums you can use in BIAB using same midi line. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me, I will share what I tried. I listened to this days ago and was sure I replied, I am glad it popped on the first page again. Thank you for sharing!
Misha.

Jim, your sure know how to put together a tune that stays with the listener! I'll be hearing this in my head for a while! Another nice job! Thanks, Torrey Thanks Torrey... For you comments & support... I really appreciate them! Like that low register singing! Good for a blues tune, though this sounds more country. Good one, dude. Thanks Bob... I certainly am happy you liked it!

This is really good songs. Love the blues with a country twist. Excellent vocal and loved that shuffle Thanks Scott... I glad you enjoyed the song! Hi Jim, Entertaining! I like what you've done. The shuffle is such an infectious beat that it's probably next to impossible not to be captured by it. As always, your writing is strong and your presentation is just as strong. You got me smiling All the best, Noel Thanks Noel... For you continued comments & support... I happy you appreciated my modest efforts! Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
