Thanks, as well! Miles was my accidental intro to jazz. We were in Chicago for a couple of days on the way down to Florida before Christmas '65. I had recently seen a PBS special on blues with Mississippi John Hurt for the first half hour and a 17-year old Buddy Guy for the second half hour. I wanted to hear some of that Chicago blues live, so I sneaked out and took the train downtown and walked up to Old Town. I saw a club with a line of peeps queuing up to get in and figured that had to be a good blues bar. I paid the cover and got in no problem, and ordered a Coke so as not to get carded. But I got no blues. Jazz instead. Turned out that I happened on to the first of two nights of Miles Davis live at the Plugged Nickel. Talk about f'ing lucky! What a night! Huge Miles fan ever since! EDIT: I just switched from YouTube TV to Hulu Live when YT dropped the Fox RSNs. Unfortunately, Hulu Live doesn't carry PBS. Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
