Howdy, TM ...

Thanks for the listen. Yeah, I experimented with quite a few different tracks. I ran across that flute per chance ... sure glad I did! It;s actually a background track, but I've found many of them also work quite well as lead instruments. The acoustic and nylon guitar tracks are really useful in that capacity.

I figured a lot of folks would look at the track composition and say "What the ...!" But, I like experimenting and sometimes it works out. Thanks again and best to you ...

Hey Bobblehead #2 ... go are you? I'm delighted you gave this s test run. Sometimes ya just go with the muse ... otherwise she'll smack ya around a bit! I had a lot of fun putting this together ... about three days of work on this one ... quite a bit of time for me.

Hello Floyd ...

Thank you very much for the wonderful compliment. It truly means a lot. I was concerned if the backing tracks would carry enough of the song that the flute wouldn't become monotonous. I ran across it per chance. Glad I did!

Again, many heartfelt thanks . Wishing you the very best ...

Alan,

Ditto on what TuneMonger said . . . really creative and eclectic collection of Real Tracks to create this song. I think you also hit a home run in orchestrating something that truly reflects all five of the emotions you were trying to convey. Really well done!

All my best,

Deej

Music for 'a lighter James Bond', you say? Hmmm... Well, yeah, maybe, but I'd say it reminds me more of the kind of so-called 'lounge music' one would hear in slickly-produced Italian 'B'-movies of the 60's and 70's, such as 1967's Grand Slam starring Edward G. Robinson, Janet Leigh, and an international cast (meaning all dialogue for the Italian, Spanish, German, and Swiss actors was dubbed in monotoned English laugh !!!), with a musical score by Ennio Morricone.

Listening your to your composition, it was easy to envision a scene in which the tre chic, handsome male lead (Alain Delon? Jean Paul Belmondo?) attempts to seduce some blonde, spangly-dressed 'pretty, young thing' on a crowded dance floor in a swanky Brazilian nightclub patronized by the most 'upper' of the upper crust. They do the 'The Pony', and 'The Frug', and whatever, while moving closer, even closer to each other as they dance, and just as their moist lips meet in a prolonged, passionate kiss, we cut to the obligatory, but G-rated love scene in the darkly sumptuous bedroom of his smartly-designed apartment overlooking the moonlit Copacabana Beach at Rio de Janiero laugh !!!

'Al-David', you really set a mood with a groove that 'set the scene' (for me, at least) in your irresistibly danceable and sexy composition, Bobblehead smile.

By the way, which athlete's likeness was reproduced in the bobblehead figure that frames your Soundcloud post?

LOREN

Hi Loren ...

It's always a real treat to read your comments and reviews. Your suggestions for a placement for this song are good. BTW, Edward G. Robinson was one of my favorite actors from back in the 1950s and through the 60s. The lounge scene, with all that follows would be a really good scene to wrap this song around. Thank you so much for the kind and well-thought comments.

The bobblehead in the song graphic is Jimmy Rollins, former second baseman for the Philadelphia Phillies. Being from St. Louis, I'm a cardinals fan. But that bobblehead looked better than any of the others I could find.

Best to you ...

ALan

I like this one a lot.

It felt like a ride around town on a early spring morning... with a bobblehead on the dash keeping time.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi David ...

Many thanks for the listen and analogy. I've had convertibles almost all my life and love riding around wit the top down. I think a bobblehead on the dash might be the right touch! Thanks again. Best to you ...

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
