OP Roadwornandy Newbie R Joined: Apr 2020 Posts: 1	Hi, I’ve used BIAB a fair bit, but today my new song keeps defaulting the chords to “hold” and “ rest”. They turn pink with a period after the chord name and playback is silent (as everything is “rest”) Building a song starts off ok..with the chords in black, but suddenly converts them all pink half way though laying out the song. I can manually change each bar from ”hold chord” back to “no rest”, but it just reverts back to pink. Changing the song settings so that rests are not allowed in any song part allows playback to be heard, but it doesn’t get rid of the “hold chord” thing. Any ideas? Many thanks Andy

Many thanks Andy I had similar happen to me once some time back. Off memory what I did was change all set the song to normal chords then without playing (generating the song) did a copy of the “black” chords. Then created a new song and pasted them back in and it cleared itself. I went further but cannot remember the cause. I’ll look back through my posts. Hope this helps. Edit: I could not find a cure but it happened when I tried to “thicken” oohs and aahs. That was the cause in my instance. I fixed it by not saving the song when it was all rests then copying the chords as above. Tony Last edited by Teunis; 04/02/20 12:08 AM. This will tell you how to remove chord settings in a couple of clicks. https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=586954#Post586954 After removing the settings, save the song with a new name. To find you update/build number, click on Help, select "About Band In A Box"and the build will be in brackets following the version... e.g. Band in a Box 2020 (713) <---- build #713 is the latest for BIAB 2020. Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
