How can I feel that secure
and lost with you at once.
How can I keep what´s in my heart
without loosing you at once.

if all I needed was just a little more time
cause deep inside some things have changed.
Nearby the river I ask myself,

How can I stand by myself

How can I be alive

Well done, Rebecca and Jochen. Love the harmony, and your choice of instruments. Mandolin, banjo and resonator make an interesting mix, and you mixed them in a pleasing way. I'm a bass player so most people don't take me seriously, but seriously I hear more freedom for the bass than just the straight 8s, ala Tom Petty. Keep 'em coming, guys.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Rebecca & Jochen,
I enjoyed your catchy modern country song arranged with trad. instruments- lots going on but the whole works and held my attention. Your vocal ( and harmony) is excellent!
The mix sounds right and I like the acappella ending.
Very good!

Rebecca,

Great sound right out of the gate—wonderful mix really hitting the ear in the right place. And then those lovely harmonic vocals. Dig that banjo hitting the left ear starting in the pre-chorus. Killer tune—bright sound, deep lyrics make a nice marriage here. Impressive work. Really well done tune!

All my best,

Deej

Kept my interest and had me thinking about it long after listening. The spacing in your lyric lines was intriguing. I liked the gradual transition to a cappella. Very well done.

Great vibe throughout, lyrically quite unique, and the phrasing is most interesting.

Your band did a good job supporting you here.

Top vocals, really tight.

Rebecca and Jochen I'm totally loving this song! Upbeat, refreshing, great instrumentation and great vocals. What a killer tone you have when you sing, and the two of you blend!

I especially the the melodic choices with the the chord change going into "needed."

Just a great song. So happy I got to hear it! Thanks!

Hi Rebecca and Jochen,

I find this a very good song! In that matter I want to underline what TuneMonger said about your style of singing in this song. That was exactly what caught me too. I read the lyrics while you were singing them in this way. this is called modern singing, isn't it?
And the band was strong, with a major role for that mandoline. So well done!

Hi Rebecca & Jochen ...

What a great sound! This sounds very professional ... super mix, great lyric and excellent backing tracks. It's not necessary to say how good the vocal is ... but I will anyway. It's wonderful!

Terrific. Thanks for about three minutes of great entertainment. Please be safe ...

Alan

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track

Review - Band-in-a-Box® 2023 for Windows is Overflowing with Features!
