Howdy Folks ...

I'm delighted the soul comes through so vividly. That's a really, really nice comment. I appreciate it so much. Wishing you both the very best. Be safe ...

Hi Misha ...

Thank you for taking a few minutes of your time to give this one a spin. And I do appreciate the kind comments. And yes, we were totally new to arranging, mixing and the like. Hopefully, we've improved a little bit over the years. And many thanks for the comments about the arrangements and chord progressions. It's a real treat for us to know you have a high regard for that.

Best to you. Be safe, my friend ...

HI Mario ...

Many thanks for your kindness to our music. I spend much of my free time ... what little there is ... playing around with chord progressions, arrangements and the like. I still practice my guitar at least an hour every day, except when circumstances prohibit.

Thank you so much. Take care abd be safe ...

I was thinking if you can recall the, or some of the, chords maybe you can make a new version with new instruments and you behind that mike! Love to see you doing that!

Have a nice day the both of you,
Hans

Hello Hans ...

well, my vocals usually aren't real good. I do think, however, this one might be one of my best. I'm glad to hear you comment so nicely about it! I doubt I will ever have the time to redo this one ... I'm old and have many responsibilities outside of music. But I appreciate your thoughts about that.

Wishing you the very best. Be safe ...

Robert ...

Good early morning. It's about 3:30 am here in Alabama. Your words left such a wonderful feeling in out hearts as we read your comments. We both thank you so very much. And we're beyond delighted you enjoy our music so much.

We have a couple of dozen older songs we've either never posted here or posted them quite a few years ago. Some of the songs we cannot post here because they do not have any BIAB tracks in them. But, of the ones that do have BIAB elements in them, I'll be posting one every month or so. I don't want to put too much of the old stuff up when there's so much wonderful new music the folks here treat us with.

We deeply appreciate those kind words you left for us. Nothing but the best for you. Be safe ...

The RTs sound great, especially that electric piano and sax - Jeff Lorber and Eric Marienthal are two of my favourite PG musos.
Thanks for sharing this one.
Hope you are both going ok in these weird and scary times.

Hello Mike ...

I'm delighted the Lew Rawls sound was somewhat evident. That was the goal. And many thanks for the kind comments. And yes, those are BAIB artist I use on a fairly frequent basis ... they pretty dang good!

We appreciate those very nice words! Wishing you the very best. Be safe ...

Loved it, best thing I've heard from you, Al! Def got the smooth soul vibe. Vocal was strong. Composition was killer, too. Again, best thing I've heard from you. Way to deliver!

Maybe (if you had the files) with today's tools you could add enough bass vibrato to really fool people with a Rawls-like voice!!

Thanks for re-posting. I think it's interesting to hear the early work of our community.

Yeah, definitely has the Lou Rawls vibe and attitude!! Very nicely done Alan!!! Take care. Greg

Hi TM ...

Why, thank you so much! I love this genre of music although in 50 years of playing professionally, I played nothing but whatever was contemporary country at the time. But I've always had an affection for RnB/Soul.

I appreciate the very nice comments! Wishing you well. Be safe ...

Hello Greg ...

First, I hope all is well in Davis. I haven't checked to see exactly where all the fires are ... I think they're north and west of Davis. Nonetheless, hope all is well with you and yours.

I always appreciate it when you drop in for a listen. And I sure do appreciate the very nice comments. Thank you so very much!

wishing all the very best. And please be safe ...

Alan

Alan,

You always show sides of BIAB that need to see the light of day. This is no exception.

A very enjoyable listen. Funky mellow. Falls on the ear so nicely.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
