Congratulations to all three of you. Fine vocal and lyric. The bass is just right and the way it solos at the end of the verses is really cool. The guitar solo sounds good with great tone. Tom

Ray had already shown himself to be a fine addition to y'all's productions and he really shines here. Love where he took the bass line.

Scott's chops and tone fit the "art rock" or perhaps psychedelic lite genre very nicely (as with the write).

Robert's vocal shines here and FWIW we feel it fits fine in the mix. Not too forward or buried.

Cool indeed.

Thanks Marty for checking out the song. Thanks for your comments on the mix. Our mixes went back and forth across the world trying our best to get it right. So glad you liked the song..

Love that B3 also!

Thanks Mario. I must admit I much prefer working with Ray and Robert on these song more than my own. It is so much fun to throw ideas back and forth from Northern Canada to Vancouver Island then down to Australia.

Hello Scott C,

Nice collaboration. With rather dark lyrics in the words, the arrangement fits perfectly considering the vocals. Listening, we picture the suggested environment. Pleasant composition.

Robert nailed the vocal (and great lyrics too), Ray is solid on the bass, and Scott .. sounds like Scott! And that is a good thing smile

Mix also sounds good to me, I thought the vocal is sitting right where it should for this genre.

Your best yet, well done!

Ray did an excellent bass track. I too loved where it to some quieter sections of the song and put in the best fills.
So glad you liked the song.

Thanks Torrey for checking out the song. So glad you active in the forum again. You were missed. Ray and I had some fun turning up the crunch and chugging along with some 5 chords. Got the odd hand cramp but was fun :-)

The things I liked: Composition is psycho-stellar! Excellent guitar (S) and bass (R) playing!
Robert, vocals are one of your best, very clear not overfxd. Lyrics/phrasing A+
Couple of things to mention that you might or might not like smile I thought that drums are "ringing" a bit (too much high end). Also, I think bass is a bit buried. Perhaps riding it in some places, a good example 1:44 would make it more pronounced/fun. Overall, very COOL! Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

Thanks Misha for checking out the song. These songs are getting to be so much fun. We must of had 30 different tracks of different versions of the guitars and Robert worked very hard on the timing of the lyrics. We tried quite a few drum tracks and this one was the best. It had an alternating open high hat where I think you are hearing the ringing. We tamed it down abit with a compressor side chain but we limited as we did not what to take too much out of it

Thanks for checking out the song. Robert did a great job with the vocal and lyrics on this song as he shaped them around one of my instrumentals. So glad you liked the song.

Thanks for the kind words folks,
It was a very easy, fun thing to slot in as apprentice with the mentorship of Scott & Robert.

Hi guys.
This is probably my favourite of yours so far. While everything works, I particularly like the little bass run at the end of the verses.
Regards,
Leon

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
