Cold Front

It seems a little cool in here

And I know that look

There’s no mystery to it anymore

I can read you like a book

Don’t you go and cry to me

Don’t sing me your sad song

better grab another blanket baby

There’s a cold front coming on

You haven’t said a word all day

Itching for a fight

Then off to bed without a word

Or a kiss goodnight

Made sure the house was closed up tight

Then all the sudden you’re gone

better grab another blanket baby

There’s a cold front coming on

Tom ...

You always post some of the best cuts on the forum.

Sounds like you and I knew the same woman some years ago! Think I might have dated her when I lived in San Antonio! I agree with the previous comments about the eagles and Santana. I get the feel of Glenn Fry sat in with Carlos Santana's band. I'd pay to see that concert! And I'd pay to hear you in concert, too!

This song is so cool but yet hot - at the same time. Love your Tele licks and the raw passion and power in your vocal. Yeah ... sweet!

Best to you. Take care ...

Alan

Thanks much Rob! It’s interesting to me to hear what influences people hear in these songs. They are almost always unintentional but subconsciously show up in the final product. There is little doubt that I am a huge fan of the Eagles, Tom

Perfect execution of the style, and a fine performance, too!
Really liked the "grab a blanket" and "cold front" imagery!
Great work!

Hi tommyad,

The lead guitar is well done and the sound is excellent. The tone of the voice is excellent. I also appreciated the arrangement with the ozone products. I know less about waves products but which give very good results on your voice. Well done.

Kindly regards
Take care of yourself

Tom,
I like the edge your lyrics, vocal and especially lead guitar gives to the latin beat.
Very good!

Cap’n, I have always liked the feel of the rhumba groove. Electric blues has a history of using this beat. Thanks for the nice comments,Tom

Hi, Tommy. Does is seem like your guitar plays itself when you wrap your fingers around its neck? You have trained it so well. Man, you have great tone and taste. The vocal is top-notch also. I like the sultry feel of this, and you present it so well. I have pages of titles of songs not yet written.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Love blues with a rhumba beat! You don't hear it that often these days.

Tom, man, I could listen to you all day! Just love your playing.

You have the perfect voice for this type of material too.

Just an excellent song, enjoyed every note smile

WHOA! LOVE that opening!! Hot playing...

Great sound throughout. Very cool organ! An infectious rhythm in those guitars. Hot solo.

Good write.
"You haven’t said a word all day
Itching for a fight
Then off to bed without a word
Or a kiss goodnight"

Great mix (as always). A great listen. Hot.

Hi, Tommy !

One of your absolute best
for sure ! Wonderful playing
and singing exactly as I
knew it would before listening !
The cold front is here now
and I don´t mind because
I need to burn some branches
from trees taken down last summer !
...and as my barn is snowclad
the fire won´t burn it down when
you do it during high winter !
I enjoyed this tune truly much !

Stay Safe and Take Care, Tom !

Cheers
Dani

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track
