Just a short burst of Latin harmony :-) Don't know how this one came about, or why (apart from the fact that I had a heck of an end to the week and I guess it somehow spilt into the track choices, etc.) ... I guess it's one of those that I wrote because I said: enough sentimental songs for a while, try something up-tempo for a change! The beginning basic rhythm seemed a good start.
But the sax really didn't seem to fit the mood.
My opinion, of course.

fj: More than fair enough - I had my doubts about the sax, too, but eventually could not decide on a better real-track soloist. I'll look at it again! Thanks :-)

Maybe an acoustic guitar solo? Sometimes the varied gypsy jazz soloists work with latin styles. But assuredly not always  J&B

James, I like the rhythm bed! It's got a lot of interesting chords changes! It would be interesting to hear what it would sound like with a nylon string guitar solo going on in here in place of the sax! Thanks, T

Hi, James. Much too "interesting" for me. I don't hear strong harmonic movement, clear melody, or a song form. I'm not saying it's not there, it's just that it lacks the traditional markers I expect to help guide me. It just asks me to work too hard to figure out what's going on. And I'm too lazy to do that!

Haha. Fair enough, everyone. I still like the sax in there ... I think it provides a welcome contrast and a "free jazz" kinda vibe to the whole thing, otherwise it'd be all too orthodox ... but if ten people tell you you're drunk, it may be a good idea to consider going to bed ;-) Trouble is, I still like it ... ;-) - but thanks for listening and for the honest comments - just the way I like 'em!!! :-) Cheers :-)
