This whole no masker and no vaxxer crap is getting old.

I wish more people would speak out against it. They are not only putting all of us at risk, they are are putting our nation at risk.

In Internet slang, a troll is a person who starts flame wars or intentionally upsets people on the Internet. This is typically done by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog), with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses and normalizing tangential discussion.

Billy,

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you're probably talking about me, or maybe me, John and Eddie.

Some things are opinions and some things are facts. Fire is hot and ice is cold. It doesn't matter what anyone's opinion about either of those things is, those are facts.

I know that facts have been pushed to the side over the last 4 years but they didn't cease to exist. There was even a new phrase for bullsh*t that was created called "alternative facts". That still didn't keep actual facts from existing.

Treating the opinions of Covid deniers, no maskers and no vaxxers as "alternative facts" is incredibly dangerous. Their views are not opinions. They are just plain old garden variety bullsh*t.

If pointing that out makes me a troll, then I'll proudly wear that moniker.

Hi Bob,

Chill out man, no one is talking about you or Eddie or John or any one person.

There is nothing Herb said that was not fact. He never said mask would not work and he said the vaccine was experimental which is true. He said he did not want to wear one but would and did when forced to. He said he did not want to be vaccinated, that his chose man.

I don't agree with much of what Herb said but he has the right to say it without being denigrated for his position. Secondly there are thousands of people who would agree with everything Herb said.

Bob, you and I both have a responsibility to be kind and caring with all our friends here on this forum. All I am asking for everyone be a little less judgemental of people we don't agree with and respond in a kinder way.

This is not China, we get to say most anything no matter if it is smart or dumb dangerous or safe.

I don't have any issue with inflammatory screaming protest about any subject in an appropriate setting. This is not a place to do that by me or you or anyone else.

Cheers,

Billy

EDIT: This is what I would like to see stop. "intentionally upsetting people on the Internet" and "intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses"

I sat in on a Zoom conference with some of my former colleagues from the Health Department and we discussed some of the anger being expressed toward Health Care workers, pro maskers, anti maskers, anti vaccers etc. One of my Psychiatrist friends expressed the opinion that FEAR is the major thing that is driving our angry responses toward each other. We have spent a year watching friends, colleagues, and family members get sick and sometimes die. Some people have a fear of being told what to do. The ANGER comes in because on the one hand, we could come right out and admit that we are afraid, but we are always taught that being afraid is a sign of weakness. Anger on the other hand is seen as a sign of strength, so more and more we are expressing our fears through our anger.

Believe it or not, as counter intuitive as it might seem, anger is expressing a feeling of “I need to be connected and communicate with you”, but instead comes out as “I’m strong and I don’t need you”. There is just a lot of anxiety and depression being manifested as anger now. All human beings need to have connection with others, but we go into anger or attack mode as a way of defending ourselves. When we’re aggressive, we don’t have to show vulnerability to other people.

You’re right about that. Only a few days ago I was saying how good it was in my part of the world. Not a week later a fair bit of the area is in lock down and we are asked to wear a mask in public.

I did have a bit of fun today. I had a COVID vaccine on Saturday. Today I had an appointment with the same doctor. He asked about any affects regarding the vaccine. You should have seen his face when I told him I felt no physical affects but the microchip is creating havoc with my tv.

With a smile
Tony

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
