I'm running the DAW plugin on Studio One. I can't audition styles. I can select them, but when I try to audition them nothing happens when I click the green arrow.
Welcome to the forums, JT36! What version/year of Band-in-a-Box do you have and what package? If you have a Pro or a MegaPAK, then you would not have all of the Styles and RealTracks available. In this case, if you're trying to audition a Style that is not included in your PAK, then your computer must be connected to the internet in order to listen to the audition.
Thanks Chantelle. I think I figured it out. My Windows Audio Sample rate has to be set to the same sample rate as my DAW. (4100kHz). Another question: does the plugin audition all the real tracks I have in my standalone? I have the Pro version on my pc. I don't seem to see all the tracks on both the standalone and the plugin...
The Pro is our smallest PAK and does not include all of the Styles and RealTracks. However, you should be able to see the same ones for both the main Band-in-a-Box and the plugin version because they references the same files.
In the plugin, please go to File | Preferences and scroll down to the folder paths for your Band-in-a-Box, RealTracks, and Drums. Are these paths correct? If not, please click the "select" button for each to search and select the correct folders. Your RealTracks should be in the RealTracks folder and your RealDrums should be in the Drums folder. Afterwards open the Style Picker inside of your plugin and click the Rebuild button; do a slow rebuild. Your tracks should be found after these steps.
Why is there no "play using current chordsheet for song" under the style picker of my VST
But there's something in your screenshot
That button is in the the Style Picker of the main version of Band-in-a-Box and not the plugin. Apologies, I have been using the same screenshot to point out where the Rebuild button is without thinking of those slight differences for the other buttons. Here is an updated screenshot from the 2021 Band-in-a-Box plugin.
