Hey band in a box community. I am developing a free play along app for guitar players and need a variety of recordings of well known public domain songs. (Like Amazing Grace, Aura Lee etc).
Both Instrumental and vocal versions are okay but I do prefer vocals.

Ps I cannot guarantee that I will use songs that I receive because I am looking for quite specific things.

I had a query on the Facebook group on what types of things I m looking for so I thought it would be a good idea to repost my answer here in for people interested in sending some songs.
I am looking for quite simple chords and instrumentation and tuned vocals (both male and female). Here are some of the songs I am thinking of.

PD in which countries? That is a HUGE factor as the laws greatly vary. If the song is PD in the USA then it is likely PD everywhere as US laws are very strict. In the US new PD songs are added every Jan 1. This started by law a few years ago. This year songs from 1925 were added, last year from 1924, etc. a Google search based on the above will give you a lot of songs. For example a search on US public domain songs 2021, 2020, 2019, etc. There are a lot of them. We mine that treasure trove often.  Bud

Hey Bud. Thanks for this. It would be for the USA since the app will be on IOS App store and the play store and both Apple and Google are in the US.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
