Midnight Romp This is a remix of a song I first recorded back in 2010 with Andy Wigzell on Sax and Vox. A few people here may remember it, I first attempted a remix back in 2019 Remix has Marty on bass, also new drums. I just recently managed to connect with Andy again, maybe he will join us in the future on a song or two. RealTracks in song: ~~1102:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm JazzSwingGrooveComp Sw 190 Dave Bell: guitar Marty Straub: bass Andy Wigzell: sax and vox Drums: EZDrummer2. Mixed with Reaper, mastered with Ozone9. All comments welcome!

Mornin' Dave....
I like this one a lot. Great playing by all.
Bass is clear cut through very well, guitar is clean with great tone and (of course) who doesn't love the vibe a good sax line adds to a composition. I've never used EZDrummer but the drum track sounds clean and crisp to my ears.
Well done gents....one that I would certainly listen to again.
Have a great day everyone.

Hi Dave,
Great song - my kinda music!
I was particularly taken with your guitar playing.
Also loved the guitar and sax playing main riff together - excellent.
Mix - spot on except a little bit messy for a few bars in he middle. But I'm sure you can fix it in the mix or simply cut it out.
Look forward to hearing more like this.
Best Regards Nigel

'BlueAttitude' & company... Oh, yeah, gentlemen, you talkin' the talk and walkin' the walk on this number !!! BIAB + talented User's Forum musicians = fun! I actually got up off my bee-hind and busted some moves with an imaginary partner in front of a mirror. Thanks for the workout . I couldn't make out exactly what the male voices were shouting. Gimme a line on it, won't you?

Dave, that some fancy guitar chops man! You are a very versatile guitarist.
Super sax and of course Marty always lays down the perfect bass lines. I hope to hear more from this trio.
This is outstanding.

What the heck was that???????????? AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!
I didn't know that tune (in 2010 I was far too young, haha), so I'm really glad you presented that re-mix here today.
Toe-tapping stuff and so well-played by all of you: Dave, great job on the guitar. Marty, spot on, Mr Bassman. Great sax stuff, Andy.
And Mr EZD2 (also part of my band every now and then) once again really drove the nails home.
Congrats on this one, guys!

Oh, man, I am so glad you pulled this one out, brushed it off, changed the drums, and then invited me along for the fun. Dave, your chops are outstanding in so many genres. Someone suggested BiaB makes some RTs of you available for all of us. I second that. I'm also quite excited you not only dusted off this old track of your old friend, but then tracked him down and have him ready to do more. Andy is such a treat to listen to and a blast to play with. More more more.

Well now, if that ain't two-and-a-half minutes of good times. Had to listen more than once, but only because it was fun. Andy has a great light touch. You really brought the brightness and drive. Marty was all over the bottom end, melodic and interesting. All mixed up in a great sounding number on the monitors and phones. Much enjoyed.

Dave this song is truly great! There isn't a single thing that doesn't have me believing this is a band that has played together a lot. The vocal intro sold it from beat first word. I can picture the background vocals being done...seriously everything was so enjoyable! I guess you're doing what all the kids are doing. Taking something from the past and making it new again. The difference is it's your own music each time! REALLY great song my friend!

Loved this tune. Dave your guitar playing on this reminded me of Brian Seltzer. Very cool tune. Marty some very tasty bass lines. Sax was awesome. Loved the mix too. Having the sax left and the guitar right gave the song a live feel. Well done

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing! EVERYBODY is in the pocket and hittin' the note. It has the vibe of an extremely well honed band playing in a club. Hi Dave, Marty and Andy,
A nice swinging song from the old box. I can imagine a lot of people like it a lot. It's played and remixed perfectly, like I'm used from you. So a successful remix!
It is not really my taste, although I noticed my right feet was tapping. The sax must have caused that. But after listening to it and browsing a bit on your site. Beautifully done by the way. In soundCloud you can't do something like that, but back from Borneo..., I listened to Valantines way a couple of times. That's more my taste. Can't you do something like this one time?
So, great compliments for your song and also a request!
Hans

Hans I like to do lots of different styles of music, and swing blues has always been a favorite. Keeps things fresh to change things up. Valentines Way is a good song, but we have already done it, don't want to do variations of the same song every time. Thanks for the listen!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
