Reading the title of the song I was thinking acoustic (From my coffee house days). I love your songs that you do with the acoustic guitar. You got me. This is a lovely song. Another super vocal and backtrack. Well done..

I was intrigued so looked up black fireflies - they only use their light when emerging from the the cocoon and, there after, are dark.
Interesting.
That little fact makes the song even more mystical.
Nice melody and a fab arrangement.

A cool warm feeling, Bob, like a pink sunrise followed by a gorgeously red sunset. I like the get-out-of-the-way instrumentation that allows the vocal to shine like a black firefly emerging from its cocoon. [I didn't know that either, Ray.]

Really nice selection of RealTracks, and you did a great job with the lyrics. There is a nice amount of character to the song that I really appreciate. Thanks for sharing!

Interesting intro. Immediately caught my attention. I haven't been on the User Showcase for a while and with such top productions as you've done here, I'll be spending a lot more time catching up.

Outstanding. The sparse arrangement works really well and the movement added by the drums is special.
As are the acoustic bass lines.
Your vocal is very engaging (nothing unusual there!) -- reminds us of Lucinda.
As Janice says your songs just make us feel at home. It fits so well with our love of Americana.
Your lyric is outstanding and as lovers of flora and fauna we were fascinated to learn about the firefly.
The edge of ambiguity works nicely.
Another fine addition to a fine catalog.
