Cool sounding track Will! When that organ comes in it really ties everything together! Keep up the good work! Thanks, Torrey

Hey Will,
Just catching up on some current songs.

I have to admit, I'm not a fan of the genre but this is well done.
I'm listening on studio monitors.
My impression is the bass is a a bit over powering.

Yes, a very cool tune. It has an air of mystery about it with an underlying tension that keeps my ears perked.

Interesting.
The bottom end is pretty well reggae correct.
The sax threw me though... LA 80s wailing over reggae doesn't work for me.

Cheers

Not sure this worked but experimentation is a good thing. Good job pushing the envelope, where would we be if musicians like you didn't do that?

Will,
fun arrangement, well mixed. Easy listen. Reminded me of a modern version of Sunny (B.Hebb) that I heard one day on radio, but since never heard it again. Thank you for sharing.

Right from the start I was hooked on the feel. Conga & bass --a favorite combination. Then you brought in the alto --another fav. Great build right through, Will. [Whenever I hear someone say the bass is too loud, I think they're saying turn it up.]

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanks a lot to all of you for listening! I'm really sorry for this late response - I had some personal issues that took my attention away from music for a couple of weeks. Please know that I appreciate all of your messages.

Interesting!

The RealTrack to a faster tempo adds a lot of vibrato for the poor sax player! wink

Thanks for posting!

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Will ...

IU always love listening to what people come up with when they experiment in the many vaults of BIAB goodies. This is an unusual mix of styles that I enjoyed. Reminds me of something you might hear in the background of a James Bond movie when he's in some little dive in an obscure out of the way place some where in the world.

Musical experimentation is a good thing. I like what you sis here. Best to you ...

Alan

Will, it is a cool jam. I loved that thumping bass, the percussion, and the B3. I'm not sold on the sax as it sounds out of place to me. I believe something more laid back might fit better. BUT that is only my opinion and others may or may not agree with me.

The mix was very good; that had to be a big challenge!

I just posted a selfie and all of the responses were get well soon!

Hello Will,

Very cool tune.
I didn't notice reggae until the organ came in.
I think it's a tremendous arrangement.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
