Hello,I noticed that all the icons of the songs (MGU in particular) or demo realtracks are in BBM4.app, I don't know what this app is for I didn't use it, but if you click on a song with this icon it does not open you have to go through the "open with Biab" menu, you cannot change with cmd -I and modify ... I put a jpeg to explain. It must be a system conflict with catalina-mac. I installed the French Biab patch and updated java a short time ago, maybe that's where the conflict is, if anyone has a clue. Thanks
To change the file association right click the MGU/SGU file and select Get Info. In the "Open with" section make sure you select your Band-in-a-Box application with the black/gold logo. This should be inside of your Applications/Band-in-a-Box folder. Then click the "Change All" button so that the MGU/SGU file type is always opened by your Band-in-a-Box when you click on it.
thank you Chantelle, I did what you suggest before opening this thread, it does not work ... I installed the latest version of mac-catalina (10.15.17)yesterday but I also installed adblock one and I suspect this stuff is causing this, I have to find a way to uninstall this properly, if you have any idea thank you in advance.
edit: so I find the guilty ! it is the adblock which did that, you just have to deactivate adblock which works in "submarine" and everything return ok. Bye
If Mac icons are not showing correctly in general, shut down. Now boot in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key. Log in when prompted and wait till your icons rebuild. Now shut down and reboot normally. This resets caches and paths to their defaults.
In the old days (System/Finder 4 to OS 9), this was known as rebuilding the desktop and is one of the tasks that a Safe Boot also accomplishes.
