Marty, your contribution on bass is greatly appreciated. It’s so cool to have that bottom end working with and supporting the vocals and guitar!

Forgive me for being late for the party, but I was there, silently for auditions smile
A couple of spins later... I must say, you have a talent of attracting talent. Sweet upbeat tune and excellent message "The journey doesn’t always have to be uphill". Everyone engaged and whole tune sound relaxed and natural. Ace harmonies by Janice. You are one productive team. Marty sounds great. Mix is A+.
Thank you for sharing.

I won't even bother with any production comments because like myself you guys are your own producers so why should I get involved in that. You know what you want and you always achieve outstanding results. Another great song and performance in this thread. All the best to you two and any of the other musicians you involve in your projects. -- Henry

Henry, your comments are very much appreciated. It has been encouragement and support like this that have kept us on this relatively new musical journey.

I (Bud) have told Janice she can sing and arrange vocals within genres like this for years but obviously I’m biased

My best to you all,

BTW J&B, thanks for your kind comments on my track “Help Me Kind of Love”. I’d thank you there, but am hesitant to bump up the thread at this point.

Thanks Deej. We appreciate everything you said and, yep, those MST pianos are are sweet!

Hi there Janice, Bud, Peter and Marty,

The list of names is growing, but you all did a very good job on this lovely song. I enjoyed it, and of course the harmonics in the vocals. Very nice.

It took me some time to get back on the forum, because of technical issues, but this is the first song I listened to after that 'pause'.
Very good. No complains on whatever. Just alright!

Regards,
Hans

Nicely done. As is usual, top quality from everyone on the team.

Such a sultry vocal.

What a masterpiece production?

The song has an exuberant drive. Marty's bass and that N.O. piano really propels this song.

Janice's vocal is flawless and expressive.

That is my favorite Peter guitar solo.

Splendid all around.

Good write, Bud, and your usual fine job with the mix.

Enjoyed!

Thank you Dave. We are delighted you like the harmony. It has been quite a journey for Janice moving from bluegrass harmony to styles like this. And yep Marty really is a fine player as evidenced by how well he supports vocalists and lead players. And thanks for mentioning the write and mix.

Mix is off-the-charts good.

Excellent in all regards.

(Now, you've got me wonderin'..."Where's the video???")

Thank you very much for the very kind remarks. Hey ages ago a mainstream minor label would not have signed us as we played and recorded nothing but bluegrass smile

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
