Has anyone else experienced problems setting up with the new 2007 format.
My old laptop has windows XP and got going without any problems running BIAB 2009 Ultrapak from the disk. Having got a new laptop with the windows 2007 operating system it comes up with error messages such as cant find fonts or cant load CD ripper when I try to use the chord analyser and other features. I have even tried copying all the files from the disk and running the installer (which you shouldn't have to do) but this still does not work.

Do you perhaps mean Windows 7?

When you install BIAB on your new computer, rather than just copy all the files, it will place the required fonts in the proper place. If that did not work for you, you may copy the six or so individual fonts to the Windows fonts folder (probably under /Windows/System32, but look around) then execute the font file, which will install it. The fonts you need start with "PG'.

I can't help with the chord analyzer question.

Your questions sound like you should contact PG Music Support. They can get you fixed up.

Install it from the original disk, and then during installation point it at the location of your realtracks, etc, but use the original for the install. If the folder names are not correct during installation it can cause errors and the easiest way is to make sure to install from the original drive so the install program itself finds all the necessary files during installation.

You can leave it copied to the notebook and point to the realtracks there if desired, but it is recommended the actual install happens from the original HDD.

I would uninstall it first, reboot and do a clean install from the HDD.
It worked fine on Win7 here that way.
If your Win7 is 64 bit do not install the VSC DXi. It will only run on 32 bit systems. Use the included Forte wavetable instead.

Make your sound your own!
.. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
