I received a lot of good feedback recently from a large music organization I belong to after sending in 12 tunes, and they said I was “definitely writing, producing and arranging commercial pop.” In that light, I will not worry anymore about whether Real Band works, I will just keep using it, and see what else happens. The old piano playing is coming right along and I think I am making some progress, but it was so swell of Oliver Gannon to play along with me again on this new tune. It’s maybe just syrupy and romantic and full of pop jazz, but hey, it’s who I am.
