Fantastic stories from both Bob and yourself. I'm sure that some people don't know how good they've got it nowadays.

I think that every time someone complains about a software program taking a minute or two to load. I remember waiting 20 minutes for a program to load from tape! Sometimes it would fail at the 19 minute mark so it was rewind and start again. Those were not the good old days!

I just posted a selfie and all of the responses were get well soon!

I remember downloading files from BBS systems over 300 baud dial up. In one instance I dialed up to "Al's Nest" to download a hockey game. It was 4 files that were in an early version of today's ZIP files. That system had a 1 hour user limit. Each of those files took 72 minutes to download. So they had a download that nobody could download. I called Al about it and explained and the deal was made that he would set up his system that at 11pm I could start the download and for that one session have unlimited time to get all 4 files.

0.3 kbps!!

My current ISP is 230 mbps.

Why has everything improved over the last 35 years except ME?

I am using the new 1040XTRAEZ form this year. It has just 2 lines.

Remember old synths that stored patches on cassette tapes?

That would have been impractical on the seven-house party-line phone line I had growing up.

I remember those days!
I also remember only having to dial the last 5 digits of the phone number you were calling (as long as it was local)
45081 = Mom & Dads music store back in the day
Funny, I don't remember the home number from back then, probably because I never called it

Well if Eddie thinks that you are a jerk then I don't want to know what he thinks of me!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
