Excellent tune Floyd. Congrats on your 200th Showcase song. It sure has been a pleasure listening to your music and receiving your support over the last 10 years. It has definitely kept me in the game. Well done.

I'm from Europe but live in the US. When I listen to your tune to me I imagine driving a convertible in the US, with this feeling of freedom. Loved the vocals and nice partnering with J&B.

Wonderful! Great vocal as always, and Janice always comes through to add the perfect touch.

Nice write, my favorite among many:

"like a young child needs attention
and a flower needs the rain
a heart needs reassuring
that love remains"

Your mixes always make for a great listen through the 'phones, each individual instrument comes through cleanly, never any mud.

200 songs is an amazing achievement! Especially as they are all good songs, I don't recall ever hearing a song from you that wasn't.

In a perfect world you would be a household name I think.

Looking forward to hearing the next 200! wink

Dave - thanks for the great comments. It really is nice to have such a great group of musicians and songwriters who are willing to take time to listen and comment on the work that we are doing. I really appreciate all your support!!...

Thanks for going out of your way to help us all along the way.

Man, I'm on my 3rd spin of this song, and barely typed anything yet... Guess that says it all. THANKS, Floyd.

Marty - thanks for all the support that you have given my music. Truly appreciated!! smile

The added percussion at the end is a nice change.

Excellent vocals, especially the harmonies. Nothing flashy, just very well done.

Congratulations on #200! laugh

Thanks, David. I actually reduced the kick quite a bit, using EQ. It had gotten really dominate because of the evolution of the song (a long story), and at times, re-listening, I thought it was STILL a bit too much...

Always a good mix from you, Floyd. Good lyrics too.
I know I've said it before but I always think of the late Hal Ketchum when I hear you sing.
Good stuff.

Partnering with J&B looks like a good way to go!

The addition of Janice's backing on this is like the sweet filling in well made deserts.

Nice one for sure.

Excellent song.

Thanks, ray. I agree that the kick is a bit louder than it needs to be (put more the thump than the click).
Glad to have someone notice those pick-up notes! Thanks...

That chorus really sticks with the listener well after it's all ended...a sign of something pretty good!

Congratulations on number 200 and I want to say thanks for blessing all of us here with so much great work over the last few years!

Thanks, Torrey

Really appreciate all the kind words, Torrey... (but be aware... there is more banjo on the horizon - one of my Christmas presents to myself was the AmpleSound Entho Banjo - it is stunning!)

Right.... it was a temporary outage apparently.

Another good one that maintains the high bar you are known for.

Good old country like it used to be on the radio in the day.

Floyd, I think you mean your 200th masterpiece!

Another excellent song.

"like a young child needs attention

that love remains" How do you come up with these gems?

As always everything is perfect.

Loved it.

You are one of the most productive (I hate the word) talented artists I have followed. Congrats to you on this 200th anniversary tune! It is great that you found Janice and Bud who can hear you and join your journey.
Excellent tune! I listened to it a few times on different setups. Sounds great through earbuds and on bigger system. A+ vocals by you and Janice. Thank you for being here.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
