James, what an excellent piece of music!
Super playing and choice of instruments.
Everything is perfectly mixed.
IMHO this is your best to date.
Loved it

Nice... but a bit too quiet for my taste. Which is fine, because you can't please everyone.

James
What a lovely sound! It truly expresses the thought of your title perfectly! Your arrangement is excellent! A lot of rock and blues stuff is posted in the forum, and this is a great change of pace!
Thanks, Torrey

Thanks, from the bottom of my heart, everyone.
Mario: wow. High praise indeed! You are kind. Thank you!
David Cuny: yes, the pan flute is a tad quiet, you're spot on, I think :-) I'll see if I can duplicate the track, so I have two pan flutes playing, instead of one (it's on maximum volume as it is). Thanks for your comment!
Torrey: thanks so much. Given what is going on in the world, I felt a different, slower pace of music would have been appropriate, perhaps. I'm so glad you liked it!

Excellent in a most contemplative manner.
ANY music that directs one toward peace is welcome in our household.
Well done in composition and production.

You picked an combined the right pieces James. The pan pipes and trumpet are a bit grainy and the trumpet sample doesn't really get off the ground. I think better samples would help enormously. The arrangement is really well thought through. COOL.

Oh, so well done, James. Just beautiful. Bach (JS) has been one of my favorite composers and teachers since I was kid. This tune cries for peace and I truly hope that prayer is answered. Take care!

Janice, Bud: thanks. Not my composition, of course, but thanks for such kind words!
Ray: yes, better samples would help, I agree! but I'm glad you liked it, anyway.
bloc-head: thank you!
Marty: Bach really is something else, I agree. This Prelude, for example, is my go-to piece for when things are not quite right or not as easy as they could be. Thank you so much for such - as usual - wonderful words. Let's hope peace prevails.

Scott C: thank you! Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment :-)
Ed: thanks :-) I knew the pieces well, so the first thing I did was choose the background - I wanted those drums in the background, so it would sound as if the piece was being played on a battlefield or something. Then I added the harp as the Bach accompaniment and, for the Gounod melody, I chose the muted trumpet and then the panflute, so that there would be - again - a military-type sound to it. Finally, in the second part, I added a background choir and strings, to give it that extra ethereal-like quality. I then gave it a preset church reverb and listened for balance. That really is all! :-) Thanks again, you really are kind.

Nicely put together, James.
I especially like the middle section of harp and flute.
Contemplative. A good listen. Mix well.

Another example of the versatility of this program when put together with a quality performance.
Really excellent, different, refreshing.
