Hi, friends !:)

Been awfully long since I was around
partly because I have been in Spain
down at Marianico and I do not have
any means there to write or record so....
Please, forgive me for the delay, but
here is my latest just home again
after a long sejour down there !

It is written for my dearest !

and here are the lyrics:

MY LOVE IS YOU (words and music by Norman Wibe)

Can feel the sunshine
can sense the upcomin´rain
it´s goin´to fall, a sky I can see
so dark as can be

It´s goin´to rain now
I´ll see a rainbow
but I do not care, as long as I share
your love my dear
right here

So when you´re away ev´rythin´looks gray and darker still
how much I try can´t bend it on to my will

For you I´m yearnin´
For you I´m burnin´
I´m lovin´your smile, it is so worthwile
and I love your style

I need you darlin´
I want you darlin´
I love you so true, you know that I do
my love is you
only you

I need you darlin´
I want you darlin´
I love you so true, you know that I do
my love is you
only you

Nice to hear another of your compositions, Dani.

The Bodhran was an interesting inclusion smile

The Bodhran seemed like an unusual choice.

Dani, using that Bodhran and its groove was an interesting choice but you made it work!

As usual a super vocal.

Excellent song my friend.

Good the hear you back again!

The bodhran felt a bit like it was competing against the melody, but I ignored it and enjoyed the song anyway! wink

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi David !

You are perfectly right, the Bodhran
do feel a bit strange or is it the
other instruments that inflict with the
Bodhran ? Anyway I´m so glad you had
the tenacity to endure the piece to the end
and am very grateful for your most kind
words ! Thank you David !

Cheers

Hi, to jump in late, I didn't care much for the bodhran, either. With that in the mix it feels like listening to two unrelated songs at the same time, and I like the other one better.

Listening right now, enjoying but I feel like I'm between radio stations. =8^)

Dani,

Always nice to see you drop back in.

A sweet love song. Nicely sung.

As others have said, I think the bodhran gets in the way a bit.
The rest of the track is nice.

Hi, Josie !:))

Thank you for your most kind
comments ! Romeo ? well not
me anyway, but flattered I am, really !

I did add a choice taking
away the Bodhran completely,
maybe I should have altered
the whole style at the same
time, but ...oh...alright
it is just what it is !:))

Cheers

Dani,
Smooth song. I liked the version without bodhran better. The acoustic rhythm guitar takes care of the that inner rhythm smile Good vocals & mix. Thank you for sharing.

Hi, Mark !

Thank you for your most kind words
truly much appreciated !

I did in fact take off the Bodhran
and posted a version without it
but am not sure it was quite okay, I think
there may still be some discrepancies
between the jig guitar and the country
shuffle ! hm....

Cheers

I like the version without the Bohdran. It does compete with your nice melody, which comes through clearly in the non-bohdran version. Good work!

Hi Dani,

It's been some time...
I also was in Spain, Malaga to get some sun and inspiration. They have a nice castell, kind of little Alhambra.
And you also got some inspiration I noticed!

Good song, nice vocals, sweet lyrics.
As some other already said here, the bodran was a bit in the way of the melody and your singing.

I then listened to it without the bodran. That one became my favorite.

Nice work, Dani!

Hans

Beautiful and sunny romantic mood. Very interesting arrangement with all those Celtic instruments, I really like them also the bodhran, very successful experiment. The melody and chording are very enjoyable, sounding like Beach Boys on the shores of the Mediterranean. Listening to your vocals is truly relaxing.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
