Hi All, This is one of those "in the draw" songs. I have revisited over the years for lyric changes, etc. Happy to have finally and properly recorded it. This is called Vampire Story. Excellent write. Your lyrics paint great pictures. Poetic without being "flowery". A simple complexity.
Good vocal. An excellent BAND. Nicely produced. Good mix.

Very very creative lyrics. You are the master of imagery in words, Bob. Love that vocal. What emotion in a wonderful melody. The band is perfect as is the mix. Man, what else you got "in the draw?"

Very nice. Like all have said, you sure have a way with putting words to melody in order to paint pictures in the mind. Great mix and choice of instruments to make a unique sound to match those lyrics.

More pictures painted without the need of a thousand words.
My only suggestion, other than some de-essing as usual, would be to soften the electric guitar with some reverb & EQ.

This is classic Robert Dean—great vocal and what a wonderful hook (“Like vampires under the sun”). Real interesting and fresh rhyme scheme in that write . . . and a stellar write it is. Such a clean, resounding production as well. Outstanding!

what a great image! And your gravel textured vocals capture the dissolution perfectly.
This is classic Robert Dean;the write, the spare drama of the arrangement and that voice.
