My Following the Science Album is finally out on all major retailers after re-mixing each song about a hundred times. But is is getting on some cool playlists I hear and the feedback has been good.
I am posting this to say thanks to the forum because every one of these songs received extensive feedback and suggestions from this forum and it would not be where it is without your help and feedback.
Also, on one of the playlists I have been on, I cannot tell much of a production difference between these tunes and the ones coming out of million dollars studios. (For better or worse, mind you. )
Put the point is, I am not using PG tools as a gimmick or "last resort": I am using them as full on production tools, and I am very happy with this. I think it is the best thing I have done.
I noticed you have one song called "Standing Like Bono". Sounds cool! How did you manage to get that Edge sound in the beginning? Is it you on guitar or is this a new RT (we are using an older BIAB version)?

We are Rob Meulman and Anne-Marie Bovenkamp from The Netherlands.
I am playing some guitar on this song. But it has been so long ago (1 year = 10 years to me) I can't remember which tracks. There is a style I used called "Dublin" style which has some very U2 sounding stuff. Check it out.
I also can do a pretty close U2 imitation but it is not that hard to do if you know the effects.
P.S. The purpose and theme of this album was to give a nod to some of my biggest influences, and favorite artists and sounds. For example, the first song is an ode to Bowie, and there is even an ode to Dave Matthews in there on the list. That song was an ode to U2.

This! It's still you who has to make the song, but BIAB is a BIG time saver. And the drummer is always on time and doesn't smell

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
