Creative to the max!

We smiled all the way through this, Janne. That midi riff is great, making us think of the blood pumping through the vein. smile

The mix is outstanding ... sounds great on our monitors.

The mandolin’s light touch is just the right touch, Kevin and Solaria are awesome and the singing mosquitos were a hoot!

Those pesky mosquitoes always seem to follow Bud on our hikes and now we’ll have your song to think of to lighten the aggravation.

Enjoyed it!

Hi Janne.

'My soul is a knobby frozen bud
I don't deserve a better death
I let mosquitoes suck my blood.'

Yes, I'd say macabre is a pretty good description! Very creative and unusual. And yeah, we can all related to those whining mosquitoes.

Regards,
Leon

Thanks Marty for your very heartwarming words smile I don't even recognize my little tune in those words, but I really appreciate them blush

laugh sorry to disappoint you Rob, but I promise you that the Solaria ballad will be my next one to showcase here, just don't expect too much from it wink

And thanks for your great feedback on my mosquito song smile Words like really "extremely creative" warm my heart smile

That's interesting, and very cool. You have certainly learned those vocaloids fairly well. It I hadn't read that it was a vocaloid I would not have known.

I watching a documentary a few years ago. It was set in the jungles somewhere in the equatorial regions..... They discussed all the critters and bugs and which ones were endangered. At one point, the narrator was in a swampy area and came upon some very rare indigo blue mosquitos. Pointing out how rare they were, he rolled up his sleeves and let them feast on his arm/blood for a few minutes. He then stated that it was the least he could do to help the species reproduce the next generation. Me....I'd have probably swatted those little blue blood suckers.

Good song.

Thanks ES for your pleasant feedback smile Glad to hear about the vocals, finally they are good enough to use like any BIAB instrument, without feeling guilt.

Thanks Torrey for your kind feedback smile Glad you liked the wobbly sound, this was the first time I tried to make a MIDI guitar sound livelier, it wasn't very successful but luckily the "whining" fit the subject smile I don't know whether certain "double entendre" parts were lost in translation, but glad to hear that you found the subject humorous.

Thanks Janice and Bud, your reviews are always great pleasure to read smile "blood pumping", that's a good idea for the video of the song wink Well, I hope you can sing the mosquitoes away, but I guess singing my song would be an open invitation laugh

Janne,
Creative, funky and quirky- amazingly real sounding vocals.
The lyrics made me laugh and squirm; based on personal experience with those critters no doubt!

Janne,

Nice Rock!
The originality of the chord progression and melody are very high.
I believe that only you can write it.
Kevin's vocals are also great.
The usage of Vocaloid is also very skillful.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Thanks Chris, I appreciate your comment very much smile Especially the Beatles reference, can't see a connection to any of their particular song, but anyway the comparison is a big honor to me.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
