The chorus loop bgv are a bit muddy, but I love the write and the way you blended the guitars together.

Man, when you can write lyrics like that, pretty much nothing else matters. Yet you make them all even better with a good song, Bob. My only nit is that the ride was so short. I hailed the same cab 3 times just to hear the good music he played.

Short and poppy...exactly my thing The vocals are good, but in the chorus they sound a bit forced, like you're struggling in the upper registers. Since the melody is too good to change it, maybe you could compensate with vocal harmonies (which I'm a fan of anyway) to balance this out But overall, I like your song. A lot.

Cool intro Bob. Really liked the snap of the drums. Super vocal and lyric. Guitars were very cool. Well done

Bob,
A terrific write. The BAND reminded me of an old Willie Nile record I have (somewhere in a closet).
Well done. An Excellent listen.

Hi Bob ...
You just keep cranking out some really top shelf music. Your lyrics are always a lyricist's dream. I like the drum line where the snare pops on the 4 beat. Really good stuff, Bob!

Bob, Very snappy and cool... like an urban pop haiku. Love the build ( man, your drums and acoustic/electric guitar bands are so good!) and the coast-to-coast lyric shift. Sometimes short has more impact- the chorus keeps playing long after that taxi takes off.

Bob,
You should assemble all of these and start posting albums for sales or streaming if you haven't already.
Are you on any of the streaming or sales channels, or pursuing sync licensing?
Your stuff is made for sync licensing man.

I looked at the lyrics first and immediately could hear your voice in the writing. You always write great lyrics.
I loved the contrast between the verse and chorus, both of which are very good.

I can recall when most songs were two minutes and change. This song was so good but it went by so fast. Catchy but still got your unique oeuvre going on. Really enjoyed it!

Hi Bob,
Just heard your new song. On your SC-page a wrote it's a genuine Dean song, that's what it is! The other words that came in my mind while listening were 'rush, rush, we're in a hurry, rush rush. Good song, nice lyrics and the vocals were strong.
Nice day, Hans

Good band, expressive vocal and an interesting story. Unfortunately I can't get my head around the repeats that replace rhymes in the chorus. I'm on the outer regarding this as everyone else is good with it. Some things I can't shake. Good song regardless of my problems.

Bob,
You are a master at painting pictures with words! I wish I could turn out lyrical ideas as fast as you do! That chorus hangs around with the listener for a while! I'll probably be humming that melody for a while!
Thanks, Torrey

How cool! The write, track choices, vocal and mix all add up to another Bob Dean treat.
"24 minutes waiting for the taxi Airplane in the rain about to taxi Another phone call where's the cabbie Flying through the city in a Checker taxi"
Love the way you worked in the cab and the airplane.
You paint such a vivid moving picture with a minimal amount of words. Janice said she could see, hear and smell the sounds of the city.
As always, we are big fans of yours, Bob!

Hi rsdean,
Very pleasant composition. The vocal mic lets through too many high-pitched sounds in my opinion. But everything is well done. Well done.

Bob, Fun tune, good band, clear mix and vocals, but choruses do have a slightly different feel. Overall, listens well. Thank you for sharing.

Bob, great melody and very catchy chorus - fantastic write, and I loved those guitars. It's great as is, but my mind heard the guitars going on for a while before fading out. It's probably just me since nobody else has mentioned it, but there were a few places where the bass seemed a bit overpowering in my monitors. Good song!
