Hey folks, Here's the tune: https://soundcloud.com/michaelmcbroom/cautious-paramourI've been meaning to post some of my tunes here, but haven't done so till now. I'm figuring that this piece is very representative of what BiaB is capable of doing, pretty much on its own. Cautious Paramour began as a chord progression, which I plugged into BiaB. I dabbled with various styles, then hit on _JBRZTSR, quoting from BiaB's description: "JazzFunkBreezy rhythm section backing up tenor sax soloist." What you hear is six real tracks, all generated by BiaB according to the progression I wrote. I'm quite fond of this piece, and wish I could take more credit for it. The only regret I have is I neglected to freeze the tracks before I saved the file, so that particular sax solo is gone into the ether. Oh well. After generating this piece, I brought it into Cakewalk, where I added a bit of EQ and a touch of reverb. That's it.

Welcome to the showroom, Michael.
This is a nice instrumental piece with a nice sax solo and a relaxing mood.
It has too much reverb for my taste, but it's still an enjoyable song.

Thanks for your input, BD. I can appreciate your liking less reverb and I considered it, but I was sort of deliberately after being over the top with it. It's worth noting, however, that the tune at Soundcloud is an earlier mix. I need to check the current version and see if I kept that much reverb. Who knows, maybe I agreed with you.

Hi, Michael. Nice bit a cool jazz. I'm with B.D. - I'd prefer a bit less 'verb, but it's your song, so whatever makes you happy.

Michael, Nice arrangement & progression. Reverb is a bit too roomy for my taste, but still listens very well. Thank you for sharing, Misha.
P.S. "particular sax solo is gone" If you have 2022 or 2023 BIAB version and use partial regeneration, BIAB saves that similar to "freeze" button, but you can still go in it and edit parts, without losing what you don't want to lose.

OK, I went back and listened to the current mix I have for this tune and with regard to reverb, it's still pretty much the same as what I posted here. Just a bit of background FYI for ya, have you ever recently played some old AL Hirt tunes, and other similar genres from that era, say early to mid 60s? They would often really load the reverb up on their arrangements, and I guess I was getting some of my inspiration from music of that era. Hence the somewhat over-the-top level of reverb.
I did try cranking the reverb down some and, to be honest, I just didn't care for it as much that way. So I guess, for better or worse, I'm gonna stay with it.
As always, however, I appreciate the feedback. If nothing else, it forces me to think critically about my arrangements and mixes.
