Well done Cheryl Anne on your first post and I hope you are doing well. You sang your song really well. I love the way you blended the song and the video slide show together. Band in a Box is a great musical programme and there is a very helpful community in the forum so I hope you continue to post more of your songs in the future.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for reaching out. Yes, I totally agree, music/art allow you to be in the real world without all the bad, it keeps you happy and elevated into another zone. When i focus on music/art i am usually smiling inside even if I have great pain. Totally with you on that. I have had 14 major surgery's, so I rely on God to keep me happy, so I can encourage others. So many folks have it way worse/difficult that I do.

Brian, I went to your you tube link, I listed to Eleanor Lennox - Raccoon in a Dumpster. I am guessing you did ALL that work for this persons video? Amazing ! I like the cuteness, upbeat sound, and interesting graphics. So Cool.

Your side of the pond agrees with you.

Have a great week filled with love laughter and of course music/art.

Hello Mr. Derochette,

Yes, this is my first attempt/posting. I am learning as much as my little brain can hold. LOL. David suggested me to do the same thing. So this week I am working on improving and learning how to record into Band in a Box.

Hopefully with the song I am working on this week entitled, Love is the Greatest Gift, I will be able in incorporate what I am learning from you all.

So thank you for writing and I hope that you will have a blessed Christmas.

Hello Brad,

Thank you for writing. I appreciate the welcome and the encouragement. Yes, you could not be more right. Healing takes time, and I am so blessed that the folks at Band in the Box have been so helpful on the phone guiding me along. And with the Band in the Box forum filled with such kind, nice, knowledgeable folks, its encouraging for me.

I am still shocked that I could finish and post this song, after my accident. Last year this time, I did not even know where i was, or recognize friends. So I know that God is healing me, slowly but I am being healed. I am what most folks call highly blessed. I don't take this for granted.

I am glad that you are on the forum and I pray that it will continue to help you connect with friends that love music/art like you do. I see that you are in California, I pray that ice/wind storm is not impacting you terribly and that you and your family are safe. The winds looked very strong filled with snow on our Florida t.v. sets. burrrrrr.

Thank you again for reaching out, have a blessed Christmas.

Hi Bass,

Thank you for writing.

Thank you for sending along your music page. Very nice.

I am guessing you have been composing for some time. I say this because all the songs are so well done.

My favorite so far is Autumn Love. Followed by Safe in the Storm.
Wonderful job. I am still listening to the rest now.

Well keep up the nice work. Merry Christmas

Hi Deej,

Thank you for writing. I appreciate the encouragement.

Its been a long 2 years of healing. As you can imagine up and down. But I am so blessed to have the tools as you say. Band in the Box is a real life changer for me. I can't even believe

1. that I could do it. Meaning using the program itself. Only because of all the nice people on the phone at Band in the Box. With out them, I would not have gotten the song together. Imagine having dyslexia then having a brain injury that could have taken my life.

2. Last year this time, I did not recognize my friends, wondered where I was, and could barely do everyday things that I took for granted. I am learning to play my guitar all over again, I am so glad, it makes me happy and a way to express myself, like others most likely in this forum know, music is a healer in itself. Even the angels sang. So we know where the power comes from.

Your so right, everyone has been so nice and have offered to help.
I have been listening to everyone's music, and i can tell you they are all good. Each have something special and unique. I have a LONG way to go but I pray God would continue to help me absorb what folks are suggesting.

i did print out David's detailed suggested that he sent me. Which will help my voice to be more with the song, rather than separated. I had a set back the last couple of days with brain swelling, but today I was able to apply what David said and I am working on a new song called Love is the Greatest Gift. which will be incorporating his suggestion.

So glad to hear that you also were intimated. After hearing some of the songs on the forum, I was terrified to post. i thought for sure, I would be attacked or made fun of, but the folks at Band in the Box said that folks on the forum are nice. Some of the folks on this forum seem like they are doing this professionally and if they aren't they probably should be.

If you don't mind me asking..
how many years have you been writing/playing music? and
How many years now have you been using Band in the Box?
Do you have a music page with your songs on it? I would like to hear the songs, if your not to shy about this.

Thank you again for taking the time to write and I love all the suggestions and your input. Your letter will be VERY helpful when I have those days... where.. well you know.. can i do this???

I pray that you and your family will have a blessed Christmas.

Great first post. You have a very good voice. I liked the lyrics and you seem to understand the basics of BIAB. As your journey continues I’m sure you will heal and learn and look back at this in a while and be amazed at how far you have come. Good luck, Tom

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
