When selecting a custom midi style for a track in ‘Midi Track Picker’ and ‘41 Violin’ chosen as specific instrument patch requirement, results also show ‘41 Brushes Kit’. This adds a huge number of unwanted items. Presumably this qualifies as a ‘bug’, unless I'm doing something wrong, but wonder if there is any ‘workround' until it is dealt with?
Interesting, when I follow your path I get 12 hits for "41 Brushes", and none for "41 Violin". Not exactly a "huge number", but it does seem to be a problem.
So I agree the PG folks need to look closer at this one.
The style filter with the "41" was created by BIAB with the Midi Picker, not by me.
Edited...
Opps, I just repeated the process and things are very different this time. Ya, the "41" is not there this time??? And I get a huge number of hits for the drums...
I should have stayed away from this one. The "style picker" is always complicated.

Any thoughts please?
What exactly is your workflow?
Here is how it perfectly works for me: 1-right click on instrument 2-click on select custom MIDI style for this track 3-select 41: violin in the instrument window 4-Choose style with this instrument 5-pick a style 6-click OK
If this doesn't work for you a "return to factory settings" under "options" may solve your problem. Use the "most" setting under the factory settings.
Let us know if this helps.
I just posted a selfie and all of the responses were get well soon!

My workflow is same as yours. Have carried out 'Return to Factory Settings', but problem remains!
That's weird.
We would need some more information to actually help. Things like what is your OS, RAM, audio interface (sound card) etc. The more information you can give the better we can help.

Setup is elderly but straightforward: Windows 10, i7 processor, 64GB RAM, Soundblaster SBZ, latest BIAB build.
Turns out the ‘Select Custom Midi Style for this track’ element was a bit of a red herring in that the problem is apparent when selecting a style in the first place. Therefore in ‘Style’ if I clear all filters and then tick ‘Styles with Specific Midi Patch’ and select ‘Midi 41 Violin’, only around 1 in 10 of styles returned contains ‘41 Violin’, with the rest being ‘41 Brushes Kit’. Makes me wonder if BIAB is simply picking up on the ‘41’ part and ignoring what follows.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
