I created a 114 bar project, the first 8 bars are the intro having assigned an instrument to the 'Strings' track, then at bar 9 the Strings track is muted via F5, then at bar 111 then using F5 on the 'Strings' track, I unmuted the 'Strings' track, to play an outro, but I'm not satisfied with the outro, I want to re-generate the outro without affecting the intro, but if I used 'Freeze Track' it freezes the 'Strings' track for the entire score.
How can I keep re-generating the Strings track outro using F4 while other tracks are frozen (until I'm satisfied), without affecting 8 bars of the intro?

1 Freeze all tracks (blue snowflake) 2 Highlight the bars you want to re-gen on the chord chart 3 Alt-F8 4 Select the instrument tracks you want to regen 5 Verify that the regen bar range is correct (should be set by you prior selection of the bars for the correct chorus)
6 Hit OK-Gen -If you look quickly you will see the blue snowflake turn off for the portion regen then go back to freeze the portion again.
Try this on a test file - To the best of my knowledge this is how to do what you are asking for. It will regen only the portion you have specified and will not (should not) change anything else which is frozen.
Good information but I also am wondering how you would go about changing the drum pattern going into a "B" section. I am not a drummer but I wanted to change the drumming going into a B section of the song. I went through the steps you mentioned but evidently even though the drums are available in the pull-down section, BIAB says that "There are no realtracks on this track. Would you like to select one?" Here are some screen shots showing how I am doing it, the BIAB error message and the drum track I have chosen to use that show the A & B sections.
I have the same concern that usalabs has. I need the drum pattern to regenerate only a single cell in the chord chart.
Band-in-a-Box (BiaB) handles RealDrums and RealTracks differently. BiaB mainly uses part markers to control drums. To access the menu displayed in the screen shot below, place the cursor over the bar number where you want to make the change and right click to open the menu.
Also, remember the last two bars (four if the have the option enabled for RealTracks) are hard coded as an ending into the style. So if you want to change the ending you'll need to add extra bars to program your custom ending and then fade or mute the style ending.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
