Hi, friends !

I run into this wonderful Celtic Jig
rhytm that enchanted me to the extent that
I had to do something with it !

You all know that we are going to Spain
within a couple of weeks and stay there
for the following 5 weeks (if all goes
as planned)! So, my good friends, I wanted
the tune to remind you of this ol´retiree
during my upcoming absence !
Love you all !

Here should be the links:

....and here are the lyrics:

Walking Hand In Hand (Music & words by Norman Wibe )

A look in your eyes so bright
makes me shiver with delight
as we´re walkin´ along in a foreign land
strollin´ there over the sand
just you and me
for all to see
hand in hand
feelin´oh so grand

If we can´t be goin´ like this
that´s something I surely will miss
I´ll fight for your right, to feel alright
every single day or night
never stop the flow
I love you so
doin´what I might
holdin´you so tight

Everywhere around us, we´ll perceive
smilin´faces, that believe
in everlastin´love, my sweetheart dear

Time rushes steadily by
we´re askin´ourselves why just why ?
Why won´t it stand still, bent to our will ?
but we know that noone gets that fill
that´s not the way
we´ll go anyway
so live now friend !
before the end !

Everywhere around us......

A look in your eyes so bright
makes me shiver with delight
as we´re walkin´ along in a foreign land
strollin´ there over the sand
just you and me
for all to see
hand in hand
feelin´oh so grand

Dani,

You are always missed when you are not active in the forum! I hope you enjoy your time away and will watch for your return with more great songs! I haven't heard you use a rhythmic backing like this before, but it seemed to flow naturally with your vocal! Nice vocals btw and also backing vocals!

Take care, T

As usual, a pleasant listen. Man, your voice can certainly span quite a range! smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Lovely rhythm, smooth combination of the bodhran and the piano, feels like travelling in tailwind to a new world smile Very nice vocals, those backing ones sound great! Enjoyed the romantic lyrical landscape with some unavoidable acceptance: "Why won´t it stand still, bent to our will? but we know that noone gets that fill", nicely said. Enjoy Spain and share the sun with us when you come back smile

Modern adult pop melody over a Celtic beat - it works because it's you.

Dani,

It's a lovely rhythm.
The combination of baritone and falsetto is wonderful.
The happy tune will soothe my heart.
From this song, I imagine that Spain is a very nice place.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Yes, Dani, you ARE missed when you're in Spain, but you always come back with more good songs. Spain must be inspirational for you. Enjoy!

Exceptional lyrics, and a a cool Celtic feel. Always like your vocal, and there's a cool modulation in there. You haven't mentioned who is singing the octave harmony. I bet you always do a jig before going to Spain, and I hope you jig your way home after that with a bag full of new inspiration.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Absolutely brilliant. Hats off. As Ray says, it works because it's you. You make it work - you and this voice of yours, which seems to span three octaves, or even more, to me. I always love your songs, and look out for whenever you come up with something new. Well done - enjoy Spain!

Dani,
Smooth tune. Neat vocals! Good mix and listens well. Thank you for sharing, and have a good time in Spain.

Misha.

P.S. Some Celtic material is great in BIAB.
