It's a bit too slow for my personal taste, but I also like it the way he is. Add me to the list of forum members who think a good country singer would be perfect for your song.

Country is not my favorite genre, so the title of the song doesn't sound inviting to me, but the song itself is very likable, reminds me of a documentary on history of country music by Ken Burns. Nice guitar playing and those selected instruments make the mood quite authentic.

You're hell-bent on convincing us MIDI isn't dead, aren't you? Sounds country to me! Thanx David. Outside of the PGM world MIDI is alive and doing very well! COOOOOL, this is begging for a lyrics & vocal as the melody is clear and effective. I dig instrumentals but I also love it when they share the stage with a vocal. Ray, feel free to add lyrics and sign if you wish. No problem here.

Man, if they still allowed cigarette commercials, this would be ideal for Marlboro. I really like the way you interpret life with music, Mario. Such a fine talent that immerses us in the world around us. A fine melody well played. Marty, thanx so much for this very kind review. PS - Way back in my idiot days I was not a Marlboro Man, I was a Tareyton Terror! I quit cigs back in 1975.

Mario,
As David said... "This is some hardcore old school grand ol Opry country my friend."
Like stepping back 60 years (or 70?)
fj Thanx Floyd. My goal was to create a hardcore old school grand ol Opry country song with a touch of Duane in it. Very nice indeed Mario. A genre I don't hear to often. Love that guitar. Thanx Steve. Old style country isn't even played on a lot of so called country stations, at least up here.

Mario,
Excellent production work here. You’ve captured that classic country sound and feel well. Yeah, this is begging for a good set of lyrics and a country crooner. Very cool!
Best regards,
Deej Thanx so much. Feel free to write some lyrics and add a vocal. No problems here with that! Mario....I just wanted to hear Patsy singing a lead vocal in this one...I'm a sucker for slip note piano and I hear some in the background...Floyd Cramer was my hero...very nostalgic and very country...loved it! Thanx so much Dan. I have a friend whom sounds a lot like Patsy. I have recorded her but I can't post it here, i.e. a cover song. If you want to hear it I could email it to you. Just PM me and let me know.

Sounds mighty fine. I'm not a country music historian, but it sounds old school to me just like the era you are emulating . I particularly like your guitar work.

Hi Mario,
A lovely song to swoon to (in a pub?). The end was a bit abrupt, but a very nice composition. What I love is how many styles/genres you make your songs in. I have heard all kinds of melodies passing by. You are very creative, I must say. I like that.
And if you can find yourself a singer, that would make the day!
Hans

Hans Hans, being in a wedding band for years exposed me to many genres of music. I guess this is a holdover from those days, i.e. jack of all trades but master of none. I'm open for anyone to replace the guitar with a vocal. Thanx for for those very nice comments. This is so nice Mario. Really good music, it's quite relaxing too.
Anne-Marie Thanx so much Anne-Marie.

Very cool Mario.
A great capture of the melancholic country sound from the 60's and early 70's. And without over doing the strings that IMO were prevalent during that period.
Great performances by you and the session folks!

Absolutely BRILLIANT. You have a talent for melody that is so rare, these days. Your music just communicates. Wow. One of your very best, this one - and that's a hard bar to clear, and I mean this. Bravo!!!!!!!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
