The only reason I wrote this song was to play the Strat. And because it made me laugh while I was doing it. I have to sneak one of these in every once in a while. Hope you don't mind. https://soundcloud.com/david-snyder-gigs3/crying-in-my-sleepCRYING IN MY SLEEP BY DAVID SNYDER [Super long solo...] V1 Ever since you left me I can hardly breathe Ever since you left me I can't sleep a wink Ever since you left me My heart is bleeding on my sleeve I got nothing to live for Nothing to hope for and nothing to believe CH No ever since you left me I been crying I been crying in my sleep oh Lord now another long solo V2 Ever since you left me My body feels the pain, from head to toe Ever since you left me I been sleeping in the rain, and in the snow Ever since you left me My soul is dying, and there’s no relief I got nothing to live for Nothing to hope for and nothing to believe CH No ever since you left me I been crying I been crying in my sleep Oh Lord now Yet another solo Words and Music by David Snyder copyright 2023. I'm pleased you had a laugh David. This is one of your better realized vocal melodies - you nailed it. The lead stuff is fine - a couple of very cool moments when the inspiration really kicks on. The chord progression & arrangement work a treat. Get some rest now.

Nice playing, David, and love the passionate vocal too. Can't beat a strat in my book, most versatile guitar ever made IMHO. Maybe sneak one of these in more often?

I hear ya.
A vocal with a James Brown intensity.
A lead guitar with a Neil Young twang.
Cool combination.
Nice mix.

I can feel the pain too, from head to toe. Vocals are full of passion and that guitar playing has even more heartbleeding than Prince had in his Purple Rain - makes me both laugh and cry at the same time Nice gospel chord progression and the band is very lush. But could you add another one minute solo to the end Janne

A bit whiny , but this is pretty cool stuff, excellent and very intense and emotional vocal performance My only minor nit is that in the first verse you resolve the chord progression on "breath" and "sleeve" which removes the tension a bit too early. I would leave that open for more drama.

Man, your vocal was spot on for this song, I could feel your pain. I liked your chord progression in this one. Super vocal. You did a good job on that Strat.
Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up. Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

David, passionate tune. Actually very good for: the only Strat reason... Good mix & good listen. Thank you for sharing, Misha. P.S. Sneak more of these

Now how could you laugh after singing such a sad lyric?! Good one David, and the passion burns fully in the vocal and the guitar performances. You know that we blues lovers enjoyed it! J&B

Passionate vocals and good guitar work. Nicely done.
https://soundcloud.com/user-646279677BiaB 2024 Windows For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Strat sounds good.
I like the melody.
One of your best vocal performances. Emotion packed.

You can't sneak anything passed me, David. I watch for you. Man, that strat sounds so good. I really like the feel on this one. What a fun chord progression, and the perfect melody to fill it with your words. So much passion in there. Wait. Why were you laughing? It's a sad song with a dirge-like tempo and that guitar pours out the tears.

Well . . . when it comes to guitars I'm a "Tele" guy but, that's a pretty good tune. You definitely sing and play with feeling!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
