Excellent song. Very power pop, which I love. Your vocal is ace as I have come to expect.

Mix sounds really good. My only nitpick is that the BGV in the bridge could be brought back a bit. It's too present or forward. All the other BGVs are fine.

Oh I love that ending chord! Very Beatlesque. I had to go back to that and listen to that again.

Great redo Deej! Never heard the first one, but it would be hard to beat this. I really liked your vocal and that outro was very original. I think the BGV's were great in the song and probably added a lot. I liked the guitars you chose on this, but have a tendency to agree with both David and Dan. A little acoustic might be good, but this is very good as it is and I wouldn't want to over do it. Loved that writing in the second verse!

This version works for us! Great vocals and the falsetto is effective.

Lyric, band, vocals, arrangement and mix are all tasteful.
Regarding mixing: it is never finished just abandoned and "do's and don't's" are plentiful and often in conflict.
You been at this a while we say go with your ear and heart!

It looks like you’ve already gotten good advice on the solo guitar.

Isn’t it interesting going back to our first songs made via BiaB?

Enjoyed it!

Deej,
A worthy revisit; I remember how your vocal qualities won me over from your first forum post and they have only improved with production skills evolving.
There`s lots of very good advice on this version; I think its excellent as is!

"First off, the vocal was a tad high end and strained on some of the high notes."
Deej, I didn't there was a song that was too high for You, you have a tremendous vocal range and don't ever sound like you are straining to reach a note! This was worth a re-visit IMO! You did a wonderful job with the vox on this! It's a wonderful cool catchy tune! The ending was very creative and Beatle-esque to my ears! TB

Excellent Production and overall sound of the recording. Great use of Real Tracks. The lead vocals sound a bit wobbly ...??? as if it was recorded slower and sped up? I really dig the song and production.

Deej,

It's a very pop rock tune.
Your vocal brilliance is fully demonstrated.
It's a simple piece of music, but it makes your vocals stand out even more.
Great Singer is here!
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Hello DJ
cool song
Sounds very nice
Vocals are of course top again
And also all the guitar solos by BiaB are actually good.
Although you always have to compromise there of course
Great work DJ
Many greetings
Andi ;-)

Floyd, David, tommyad, David C, Ezekiel, Brad, Scott, J&B, Robert, Torrey, Elliott, Shigeki, and Andi:

Thanks to you all for the listens and comments. I think I’m going to table this one yet again and maybe revisit at some later point. I hear the comments on adding an acoustic track, so I am going to give that a shot at some point, if nothing else than just to hear the alternative take.

J&B: A shout out to you as well on your comment to “She Rules Me” . . . I didn’t want to bump up that thread as well, but really appreciate your listen.

Stay well all,

Deej

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
