I believe we've all had a friend who it was exciting to be around but it ALWAYS felt as though you were just one tiny step away from disaster. That was my great friend Mozart - Daisy Skye Wright, aka Jo Tchaikovski, aka 'Mozart' - died 30th August 2021.
"Always one step from some disaster," is accurate but we were always a step close to laughter too.

Mozart Medley

Video here: Video, Mozart Medley

LYRICS
Not every wild child craves drink and drugs
Some wild children all they want is love and hugs
Devilish Snow Angel put me in her spell
I wish that I could protect my friend Mozart from herself
Swear down Mozart
Mozart swear down

You covered my back, I couldn’t cover yours
I wish that I had been there for you when they shut them doors
Swear down Mozart
Mozart swear down
Swear down Mozart

Always one step from some disaster
If this is your happy ever after
You’ve a funny way of showing it
Your usual funny way of showing it
Rest yourself, oh yeah, you can now rest yourself

I’ve missed your swearing and your laughter
Snow ball days & the nights after
I’ve a funny way of showing it
I’ve got a funny way of showing it
Rest yourself, oh yeah, you can now rest yourself

I won’t let anything hurt you
Sometime soon your smile will shine through
You’ve a funny way of showing it
your usual funny way of showing it
Rest yourself, now you can just rest yourself

See, the grass is full of stars
Fallen in their brightness
Hearts they have of shining gold
Rays of shining whiteness

Buttercups have honeyed hearts
Bees they love the clover
But I love the daisies' dance
All the meadow over

Blow, Oh blow, you happy winds
Singing summer's praises
Up the field and down the field
A dancing with the daisies

A wonderful tribute to your friend, judging by the photos she died way too young :-(

I love your minimalist approach!

It sounds like two different songs put together.
Both of them I liked.

I really like what you did in the first part with the guitar and then the mood changes to the piano, very innovative.

One small suggestion your harmonize vocals on every word makes it a little difficult to hear the lyrics clearly. You may wish to use the harmonies on certain words and phrases or in the choruses to emphasize. You have an excellent voice You don't have use so many effects.

Thanks for the suggestions, I really appreciate it and the kind comments. I am really self-conscious about my singing, so try and enhance it as much as possible. I'll use less effects from here on!

Again a great song plenty of emotive playing and space for the lyrics.

I am also really self-conscious about my singing so I use way to many effects also, or at least that is what I have been told wink Actually they are right! I would suggest that you cut back on your vocal effects as you do have a very good voice.

This is a very good song and tribute to your friend.
Great mix and backing tracks.

My first thoughts on the song was what a cool production and instrumentation placement. Very well done. Super vocal and lyric. Piano and backtrack were perfect for the song. Really well done piece of music..

It sounded interesting.
Yes, the vox are over treated by I can empathise with you on the need to do so.
How about, just for a laugh, you listen and comment on the posts/songs by others on the forum?

Good vocal performance.

Instrumentation is well done and placed in the mix where each can be distinctly heard.

Nice tribute to your late friend.

Oh, yeah, I've had friend like that. They really add a wonderful ingredient to living. Love those lyrics, Killer. She rubbed off on you in good ways. Excellent vocals. There are many sibilance sounds, but they do not detract from how good it sounds. This is a terrific tribute to those crazy folks that add thrills to our lives. I like what Elliott says about 2 songs. Yes, they are both wonderful.

My Mozart was named Cricket.

Enjoy whatever happens!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
