After watching the movie ALL MY LIFE about the true story of JENNIFER CARTER and SOLOMON CHAU I decided to write this song.
JENNIFER and SOL were destined for each other and fell in love in no time. But the fate wanted it completely differently.
A short time later SOL was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer.
But that didn't stop them from wanting to get married and spend the time they had left together...
They could not change their fate, but their love gave their lives meaning until the end.

Therefore always remember:

ALL YOUR LIFE - Love like there's no tomorrow

Many greetings
Andi :-)

the first look and we can do nothing more
and our life now shines together like a star

from now on there’s a lot for us to explore
everything we give ourselves comes from the heart

but as always in our life
everything can change so fast
then it doesn’t shine so bright
and the fate decides at last

the love shows us the way every day
and gives us strength to face what is now to come

our promise now is given let us pray
cause much in our lives is still undone

but as always in our life
everything can change so fast
then it doesn’t shine so bright
and the fate decides at last

all your life
love like there’s no tomorrow
waste no time
and listen to your heart

all your life
love like there’s no tomorrow
waste no time
and listen to your heart

Andi,

Touching back story! The songs softer sounding intro was nice and the build up to the heavy sounds was done well! Nice job on this one!

Thanks, TB

Andi, this song is so true.
Super build up.
Great groove and mix.

PS - My son just came through and said "Dad, your listening to Green Day?. Since I have never listened to Green Day I'll take his word on it. I would take that as a huge compliment.

Hi Project M,

Nice love story. I enjoyed the guitar solo and fingerpicked guitar fingering. Everything is well mixed and the melody very sweet and endearing. Well done. I appreciated.

Hi Andi,

You gave me a very nice review on my song, so I must have to give you a similair review too.
That's what we think we must do.
But I want to give you and Wolfgang an honest opinion on the song. Not a quid pro quo...

And hold on; I am impressed by your beautiful thinking of the topic of the song and the performance of it!
A 'Wow' is the least I can give. I know you have vocals as a chainsaw, but man how perfect they fit in this song.
Realy, realy good. And the sound and playing of the leadguitar by Wolfgang is super!

It was so nice to hear the song starts with an acoustic guitar, while you know some heavy rock will follow.
And it did! Really good. And how you sang it all nearly made me jealouse.

Well enough with all the flattery. Treat yourself and Wollie on some nice German beer. You earned it! Prosit!!!

Hans

A really nice build up, you've made a really great song here, Andi
I personally would prefer less processed vocals for the intro. For the rest of the song it works very well.
My favorite part is the chorus, intense and very catchy.
Great job!

Andi,
well done - good story & song.
The lead inserts in the 1st two minutes are a little louder/cut through more than the vocal so you might consider dealing with that.
The vocal is very naked in the 1st minute or so are quite exposed and naked as intended. However your breathing is quite loud in this section and it might be worth reducing those bits with some automation - not eradicate them just reduce them so they sound less harsh.
Andi & Wolfi do great - lots of comparison with early scorpions.

Cheers

Andi,

Good to hear a new one from you . . . I was wondering when you'd get around to finishing this tune. And you did a wonderful job on it. Solid production--though Ray has a few good suggestions above that are worth exploring. Yeah, it's got a Green Day vibe to it. The vocal fits the tune really well . . . and Wolfgang does a great job with the guitar work--really like the solo. And good creative production choice on that vocal sound at the 3:32 mark--that works really, really well. Excellent tune, gentlemen!

My best to you and Wolfgang,

Deej

What a cool song Andi. Love how the song starts and morphs into an awesome rock song. Super vocal and loved the pinch harmonics on the guitar. Well done.

Hi Andi,

Nice to see you with a new one! Good song, I like the backstory and the concept.

Love your use of dynamics, starting off mellow before getting into the heavy stuff. Very cool ending!

Tip of the hat to Wolfgang, good solo and I liked what he was doing during the intro also.

Splendid, my friend. I like how it starts out sparce and develops into a thrilling broadcast of beautiful love --much like real life. Very strong band, and I like the short break after the solo. Then right back into the magic --waste no time.

Enjoy whatever happens!

I like the opening with the acoustic that transitions into a rocker. Good arrangement and build.

I haven't seen the movie, but that is a great inspiration for the song. It gives me insight into the lyrics.

Cool bit at the end!

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

We also like the impressive build in your song and think it helps accentuate the message. And you and Wolfgang really do shine on this rock ballad!

“all your life
love like there’s no tomorrow
waste no time
and listen to your heart”

Janice read the above lines and said, “YES!” The daily quote on our kitchen calendar for today is “Don’t ever save anything for a special occasion. Being alive is the special occasion.” It reminded both of us of your fine song. smile

Enjoyed it!

User Tip: How to add drum fills without changing any other tracks

MarioD has shared some great advice when it comes to adding drum fills without changing any other tracks in your song:

There have been a number of questions asking how to add drum fills without changing any other tracks in a song. This is especially important if one is holding a chord for a few measures and wants to add a drum fill prior to the next chord. The following is how to accomplish that:

1-get the instruments/tracks to play like you want but don't worry about the drums for now.
2-generate the song.
3-freeze all tracks
4-unfreeze the drum track
5-add your fills where you want them
6-generated the song again - note this will only generate the drum track and not the frozen tracks
7- when you get the drums like you want them freeze the track
