Alan...I really enjoyed this...so great to hear lyrics (especially well written ones) with one of your compositions...love the Basa nova feel to this number...you're right the piano is excellently done...really good vocal work...I think adding a BiaB instrument(s) along with an existing track helps show and advertise the coolness of BiaB and should be part of the forum's value and appeal...old songs are not old to those of us who have never heard them...great work!...Dan Good Early Morning, Dan (it's 4:20am here in Northern Alabama) ... Your comments are always so kind to my music. I appreciate that very much - puts a smile on an old guy's face! As I mentioned to Greg, it is a bit of an unusual arrangement for a Blues number. But, that's what the muse brought with her when she dropped in. I try not to argue too much with my muse - I like her in a good mood! And thanks for your input on the older songs. A good write, Alan. That piano is the perfect addition. Pleasing mix and vocals. Love the lyrics. My favorite:
A tangled web of heartache, a case of full-time blues
No color in my rainbows, just the darkest hues

Just a question: If I simply added an RT or Drum Track from BIAB to those songs, would that be considered "gaming" the forum? If so, I'll discard that idea. Well, there's the "letter" of the law, and the "spirit" of the law. Obviously, this forum is for BiaB users (thus the title). The rules don't require BiaB be used, since they say: If Band-in-a-Box or RealBand have been used... Given that you use and frequently post songs created with BiaB, I don't think it's a great breech of conduct to occasionally post a song you created without BiaB. (I've done so myself on occasion). That's my opinion, for what it's worth. As for the song - nice! Clever write, nice vocals, wide panned drum fills.

And yeah, I have always been aware of the "If" factor in their narrative. That leaves a bit of a gray area, So thanks for your input.
I have three or four songs for which BIAB has nothing even vaguely close. Thanks for your input - I appreciate it.

Hey Folks ... Why thank ya so much for all that kindness! I hadn't thought about the Glenn Fry connection, but I think you might be right. A real shame he passed away not that long ago. Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first?
